The Textile Garment Exhibition is going to launch its third edition soon, after the first two editions which were highly successful and attracted a lot of attention. During the recently held conference on the high-quality development of China's textile and apparel industry in Shantou, the significant progress of the city's textile and apparel industry was highlighted, which showcased the city's strong unity and proactive approach towards industrial clusters across the country.

The textile and apparel industry in Shantou is a highly significant industry that generates an output value exceeding 100 billion yuan. The industry stands out due to its distinctive features and significant advantages. Over the past two years, Shantou has been following a development strategy that aims to promote trade through industry, promote industry through trade, and pursue both industrial and commercial development. The city's clear objective is to create a cluster of over 200 billion yuan by promoting the transformation, upgrading, and expansion of the textile and apparel industry.

In Shantou, a number of upstream nylon projects went into operation last year in the industrial chains, which helped establish the most comprehensive global industrial chain layout within a 50-kilometer radius. This layout covers the entire process, from the initial extraction of crude oil to the eventual production of yarn and clothing.

What is particularly gratifying is that the Shantou International Textile City, with a total investment of 30.5 billion yuan, has begun construction with an area of 1.1 million square meters. The first batch of industrial parks will be put into use in June this year, and the fabric market will open early next year. The industrial headquarters building, with a total construction area of 45,000 square meters, has been topped out and will be handed over to the occupying companies in August this year. In addition, from March 28th to 30th this year, Shantou will host the third edition of the Textile Garment Exhibition with higher standards. The venue area will double from 30,000 square meters in the first edition to 100,000 square meters in this edition.

As the substantial achievements demonstrate the robust resilience and vitality of Shantou's textile and apparel industry, numerous enterprises seize opportunities and take proactive actions within the industrial chain. During the recently held conference on the high-quality development of China's textile and apparel industry in Shantou, the Seamless Weaving Division and Underwear Division of the Shantou Textile and Garment Industry Association were officially established, aiming to promote the specialization of segmented categories and establish Shantou's advantage products as a regional hallmark.

Meanwhile, the Shantou Textile and Garment Industry Association will expand and strengthen the Textile Garment Exhibition to transform it into the largest and globally influential textile and apparel exhibition within three years. Efforts will also be made to operate the industrial headquarters building efficiently, accelerate the construction of the Chaonan House Dressing Professional Market within two years, and continue to establish branches for various professional categories. Resource integration and concentrated promotion will be achieved through the establishment of category summits.

Lin Yunfeng, the President of the China Knitting Industrial Association, believes that the Chaoshan area should strengthen its connection with national industrial clusters, and engage in complementary advantages and collaborative development in the trading market. It is believed that Shantou's textile and apparel industry will become a key force in building China's modern knitting industry system.

汕头：50公里内,从一滴原油到一件成衣

两届“服博会”人气火爆、订单满满，第三届“服博会”即将“上新”……在日前召开的中国（汕头）纺织服装产业高质量发展大会上，汕头市纺织服装产业沉甸甸的产业“成绩单”，让全国产业集群看到了汕头集群强大的聚合力和行动力。

据悉，纺织服装产业是汕头最具特色、最具优势、产值超千亿的支柱产业。这两年，汕头坚持以贸促工、以工兴贸、工商并举的发展思路，锚定了“打造超2000亿元级产业集群”清晰目标，蹄疾步稳推动纺织服装产业转型升级、扩量提质。

记者了解到，去年，汕头多个产业链上游锦纶项目开工投产，实现了50公里内从一滴原油、到一条纱线、再到一件成衣的全球最完整产业链条布局。

尤为可喜的是，总投资305亿元的汕头国际纺织城已开工建设面积110万平方米，首批产业园将于今年6月份投入使用，布料市场也将于明年初开市；总建筑面积4.5万平方米的产业总部大厦已经封顶，将于今年8月份交付给入驻企业使用。此外，今年3月28日至30日，汕头将以更高标准办好第三届服博会，场馆面积从首届的3万平方米到第二届的5万平方米，本届将翻倍扩大到10万平方米。

沉甸甸的产业“成绩单”，亮出了汕头纺织服装产业的强大韧性与活力，广大企业也紧抓机遇乘势而上，在产业链中主动作为。在日前的中国（汕头）纺织服装产业高质量发展大会上，汕头市纺织服装产业协会无缝分会和内裤分会正式成立，在细分品类的专业化道路上，推动汕头优势产品打造成区域名片。

与此同时，汕头市纺织服装产业协会将做大做强服博会，争取用三年时间，把“服博会”打造成为全国最大、具有全球影响力的纺织服装展会；运营好产业总部大厦；加快推进潮南家居服专业市场的动工建设，力争用两年的时间把家居服专业市场及园区建成投入使用；继续推进各专业品类设立分会，通过品类峰会的成立来整合资源，集中推广。

中国针织工业协会会长林云峰认为，潮汕地区应加强和全国产业集群的联系，在交易市场进行优势互补、协同发展，相信汕头纺织服装产业将成为建设中国针织现代化产业体系的中坚力量。
