On December 29th, the launch ceremony of the exhibition of ancient excavated jades from Nanyang was held at the Haogang Site Museum in Dongguan. About 132 exquisite jade artifacts unearthed from Nanyang region were stunningly unveiled.

The Chinese nation has long been in love with jades. Located in the southwest of Henan Province, Nanyang has been a center of Chinese jade culture since ancient times that is rich in Dushan jade, one of the four famous jade kinds in China.

It is reported that the exhibition will last until June 18th, 2024, when 132 precious ancient jade pieces of various shapes will be presented.

These jade artifacts with exquisite patterns and vivid shapes unearthed in the Nanyang area consisted of treasures of exquisite craftsmanship from ancient times, On the one hand, they demonstrate the development of Chinese jade culture, and on the other hand, they reflect rich historical information such as people's living habits and etiquette systems at that time.

In order to further enrich the cultural life of citizens during the New Year and attract more tourists to come to Dongguan for New Year's Day, Nancheng has launched a New Year carnival, with a plan to launch more than 30 trendy cultural and sports consumption promotion activities for 66 days. As one of the highlights this time, the exhibition is open to the public free of charge. Citizens can make a visit appointment through the WeChat official account of "Haogang Shell Mound Site Museum"("东莞蚝岗遗址博物馆").

Haogang Shell Mound Site in Nancheng, Dongguan, is an ancient site dating back more than 5000 years. It unearthed relics and artifacts of the Hougang people at ancient times, making it the birthplace of civilization in the Dongguan. Known as the "first village in the Pearl River Delta", the Haogang Site Museum is the first Shell Mound Site Museum built on the original site in Guangdong Province.

Since 2023, the Hougang Site Museum has designed and launched a young and fashionable IP family of 5000-year-old primitive folks based on the excavated image of the ancient Haugang people five thousand years ago. The museum has also opened the city's first physical store, creatively combining historical and cultural elements with designer toys.

In addition to this cultural and creative store, the Hougang Site Museum has also renewed its surrounding environment. A creative wall painting of the "5000-Year-Old Family" IP has been created in a prominent location outside the museum to provide traffic guidance. Multiple cultural and creative photography sites have been set up inside the museum, further enriching the visiting experience for both citizens and tourists.

东莞南城：132件精美玉器惊艳亮相古遗址

12月29日，“寻古蚝岗玉见华夏——南阳地区出土古玉精品展”启动仪式在东莞蚝岗遗址博物馆举行，南阳地区出土的132件精美玉器惊艳亮相。

中华民族向来就有喜玉、爱玉、崇玉的习俗。南阳位于河南省西南部，盛产中国古代四大名玉之一的“独山玉”，自古就是中华玉文化的一个中心。

据介绍，此次展览展期将持续至明年6月18日，展出包括龙形玉玦、龙纹玉戈、双凤出廓玉环、玉瑷、玛瑙环、龙纹玉牌饰等形状各异的珍贵古玉132件。

这些南阳地区出土玉器，汇聚了上古、三代到两汉时期的良工精雕之珍品，纹饰精美、造型生动，它们一方面展示了中国玉文化的发展规律，另一方面也反映了当时人们的生活习惯、礼仪制度等丰富的历史信息。

为进一步丰富市民新年期间的文化生活，吸引更多游客来莞过年，南城启动了2024潮流南城·新年嘉年华，策划推出为期66天的30多场潮流文体促消费活动，本次展览便为重头戏之一。此次展览免费对外开放，市民可通过“东莞蚝岗遗址博物馆”微信公众号预约参观。

据介绍，东莞南城的蚝岗贝丘遗址是一处五千多年前的古遗址，出土有当时蚝岗人生活的遗迹和遗物，是东莞地区文明的发源地，也被誉为“珠三角第一村”，蚝岗遗址博物馆则是广东省第一座建于原址之上的贝丘遗址博物馆。

今年以来，蚝岗遗址博物馆以挖掘出土的五千年前蚝岗古人形象为原型，设计推出年轻时尚的五千岁原始人潮玩IP家族，并在博物馆内开设了全市首家“历史文化+潮玩文创”跨界实体店——蚝有趣文创店。

除了文创店外，蚝岗遗址博物馆还迎来了潮流氛围焕新。在馆外显眼处制作了“五千岁家族”IP创意墙绘，明晰周边交通指引，在馆内则设置了多个文创打卡点，进一步丰富到馆市民和游客的参观游玩体验。
