On December 19th, the luxury cruise ship No. 2, MOBY LEGACY, with a capacity of 2,500 passengers and 3,800 meters of vehicle lanes, built by China State Shipbuilding Corporation's (CSSC) Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) for the Italian shipping company MOBY Line, set sail from Longxue Island in Nansha, Guangzhou. This ship has a total tonnage of over 70,000 tons, making it one of the largest luxury cruise ships in the world currently constructed. After delivery, it will operate on routes along the Mediterranean coast, serving ports in Genoa, Olbia, and Livorno in Italy.

The MOBY LEGACY cruise ship has a length of 237 meters, a width of 33 meters, a service speed of approximately 23.5 knots, 13 decks, 533 guest rooms, and the capacity to accommodate 2,500 passengers and nearly 800 cars.

The upper structure on the ship covers an area of approximately 16,000 square meters, including various restaurants and leisure entertainment spaces for passengers, with an area of about 10,000 square meters. The interior is comparable to a luxury cruise ship, equivalent to a five-star hotel on the sea.

The MOBY LEGACY ship is designed with a strict focus on green environmental protection and efficient operation, making it an exemplar of green ships. It is equipped with a new type of vehicle loading system, allowing vehicles to directly board the ship from the central rear gate and enter the main vehicle deck. Additionally, two side gates on the ship's hull provide access to the upper deck ramp, effectively improving loading and unloading efficiency. The ship also features an extremely low-power engine system, enabling high-speed navigation at up to 25 knots with minimal fuel consumption.

Furthermore, the ship has reserved interfaces for liquefied natural gas (LNG) propulsion, allowing the shipowner to switch to LNG as the vessel's power source in the future as needed. This will further reduce emissions of pollutants from the ship.

It is worth noting that CSSC's International division currently holds the record for the highest number of deliveries and orders for luxury cruise ships and ro-pax vessels worldwide. They have also developed a range of core patents for passenger ships. According to Zhou Xuhui, Deputy General Manager of the company, the interior of the MOBY LEGACY has achieved complete local production throughout the entire process, from design to manufacturing and installation.

全球最大豪华客滚船2号船在广州启航

12月19日，由中国船舶集团广船国际为意大利MOBY Line航运公司建造的2500客/3800米车道豪华客滚船2号船“MOBY LEGACY（莫比·雷格斯）”号轮在广州南沙龙穴岛启航。这艘船超过70000总吨，是目前建成的全球最大吨位的豪华客滚船之一，交付后将在地中海沿岸的意大利热那亚、奥尔比亚以及里窝那之间的航线运营。

“MOBY LEGACY”号轮船长237米，型宽33米，服务航速约23.5节，共有13层甲板，533间客房，能搭载2500名乘客和近800辆汽车。

船上上层建筑面积约为1.6万平方米，其中供游客休闲的各类餐厅和休闲娱乐场所面积达到约1万平方米，内装媲美豪华邮轮，相当于一座漂浮在海上的“海上五星级酒店”。

“MOBY LEGACY”号轮严格按照绿色环保和高效运营的理念进行设计，堪称“绿色船舶”中的典范。据介绍，这艘船配备了新型车辆装载系统，从船艉中央门即可直接上船进入到船上的主车库，船舷的两个侧门也可以到达上甲板坡道，从而有效提高了装卸效率。船上还配备了极低功耗的发动机系统，能够在极低燃料消耗情况下实现最快25节的高速航行。

另外，船上还预留了液化天然气（LNG）推进功能接口，船东可在将来根据需要改为以LNG作为船舶动力燃料，这将进一步降低船舶污染物的排放。

据悉，广船国际是目前全球交付豪华客滚船和手持豪华客滚船订单最多的造船企业，形成了一批客滚船设计核心专利。该公司副总经理周旭辉介绍，“MOBY LEGACY”号轮的内装方面已实现了从设计、制造、安装全过程的100%国产化。
