The 134th Canton Fair witnessed a surge in technological innovation, with the expansion of the fair's electromechanical product sectors like home appliances, electronic consumer goods, machinery, and new energy. Over 5,400 foreign trade enterprises based in Guangdong have harnessed their "smart" capabilities, leveraging the Canton Fair to improve their international outreach.
Data reveals that in the first eight months of this year, Guangdong's foreign trade reached a staggering 5.29 trillion yuan, a modest 0.2% year-on-year growth, marking a positive trend. Of these figures, exports contributed 3.49 trillion yuan, showing a robust 4.3% growth. Behind the global popularity of "Made in Guangdong" lies product innovation, smart manufacturing, and adherence to high standards.
Niche industries lead to vast markets
"Our electric wine openers can command around 80% market share in Europe and the Americas. Our grinders have also seen a significant rise from 5% market share in the previous year to 40% this year," shared Yang Yicheng, the head of Zhuhai KLT, at the brand pavilion.
KLT manufactured the world's first electric wine opener in 2005 and has since been perfecting its craft in this niche industry. Today, its products are sold in over 60 countries and regions globally, with annual sales revenue exceeding 500 million yuan, establishing it as the world's largest manufacturer of electric wine openers and wine accessories.
Among the participating enterprises, "little giants" firms, manufacturing champions, national high-tech enterprises, customs AEO advanced certification holders, national enterprise technology centers, and traditional Chinese brands have all maintained growth trends.
Global orders for smart products
A two-seat 360-degree rotating flight simulator and VR self-balancing scooters from Guangzhou Funin Virtual Reality Technology have been drawing the attention of eager buyers, prompting them to experience the thrill.
In recent years, this game company, headquartered in Panyu, Guangzhou, has consistently experienced rapid growth in overseas markets. "In the Indian market, we achieved a remarkable 250% growth, and we're performing well in the Saudi region and Southeast Asia," attributed Liang Funan, the company's leader, to their innovative application of new technology and timely adjustments.
Liu Jialiang, the European Regional Manager of Wanli Tire's overseas sales department, stated that improved smart manufacturing and green production practices have significantly enhanced the stability of their tire production. This, in turn, has led to more international collaborations, with tire sales expected to reach nearly 500 million dollars this year. Additionally, they've secured over 50 new clients.
Meeting high standards on the global stage
This edition of the expo has witnessed an even more robust presence of the new energy vehicle industries. The global export of new energy products is intrinsically tied to adherence to high standards. The SGS H2 Mark, the first international hydrogen certification mark introduced by SGS at this year's Canton Fair, plays a pivotal role in providing solutions for the production, transportation, and refueling of hydrogen.
According to data from the China Hydrogen Energy Alliance, in 2022, China's hydrogen production capacity reached approximately 48.82 million tons per year, showing a year-on-year increase of about 1.2%. Leading hydrogen energy industrial clusters can be found in regions like the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area, the Yangtze River Delta, and the Greater Bay Area, with over 300 large-scale industrial enterprises participating in the entire industrial chain.
Currently, many companies in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Foshan are actively pursuing certification, and SGS China is committed to helping these enterprises elevate their technological safety levels and practical capabilities. “广东爆款”何以热销全球?

数据显示,今年前8个月,广东外贸进出口5.29万亿元,同比增长0.2%,实现了正增长,其中,出口3.49万亿元,增长4.3%。“广东制造”畅销全球背后,离不开产品创新、智造升级以及高标准引领。
小赛道藏大市场
“我们的电动开瓶器,在欧美能占到80%左右的市场份额;研磨器也从前年5%的份额大幅增长到了今年的40%。”在广交会的品牌馆,珠海科力通有限公司负责人杨依成向记者介绍。
科力通在2005年生产出全球第一台电动红酒开瓶器,此后一直在该细分行业锻造专精技术,如今,科力通的产品已经销往全球60多个国家和地区,年销售额达到了5亿元,成为全球最大的电动红酒开瓶器和酒具配件制造商。
本届广交会参展企业中,专精特新“小巨人”企业、制造业单项冠军、国家级高新技术企业、海关AEO高级认证、国家企业技术中心、中华老字号等优质企业均保持增长。
“智”取全球订单
双人座的360度旋转飞行模拟器、VR平衡车……广州卓远虚拟现实科技公司两款炫酷的虚拟游戏新设备吸引着采购商纷纷上阵体验。
近年来,这家总部位于广州番禺的游戏公司在海外市场一直保持着快速增长。“在印度市场,我们实现了250%的爆发增长,在沙特地区、东南亚地区表现都不错。”公司负责人梁富南将这种增长归结于新技术的创新应用与及时调整。
万力轮胎海外销售部欧洲区大区经理刘嘉亮表示,提升了智能制造和绿色生产水平,万力轮胎生产供应的稳定性大幅提升,敲开了更多国际合作的大门,预计今年出口的轮胎销售额将接近5亿美元,其中,今年新开发客户数量超过了50家。
高标准走出去
本届展会,新能源汽车全产业链的“东风”更加强劲。新能源产品的出海,离不开标准的引领。在本届广交会上,国际公认的测试、检验与认证机构SGS正式推出“首个国际氢能标志认证”,为提供制氢、运氢、加氢等一系列解决方案。
中国氢能联盟数据显示,2022年,中国氢气产能约4882万吨/年,同比增长约1.2%;领先的氢能产业集群,京津冀、长三角和粤港澳大湾区汇集全产业链规模以上工业企业超过300家。
目前,广州、深圳、佛山也有不少企业正在推进认证工作,SGS中国将帮助企业提升技术安全等级和实际能力,助力中国企业参与到全球化的市场大竞争中,再反过来引领全球市场。
