What can you do with just one yuan (less than 14 cents) in Guangzhou?

You can take a short bus ride or receive medical treatment with a one-month supply of medications at the Shima branch and Luogang branch of Junhe Community Health Service Center of Baiyun District.

It's worth mentioning that on July 26th, 2023, the Luogang branch established the "reduced-cost outpatient service", entitling eligible residents from the Luogang Economic Cooperative Society to reimbursement of general outpatient consultation fees and medication expenses while subsidizing their cost of medications listed in the Cooperative Society's drug catalog and the basic service package of family doctors. Within the limit of Medicare reimbursement, it only costs the residents one yuan for each visit.

In the early morning of September 8th, the reporter came across Mr. Li, a 51-year-old hypertensive patient from the Luogang Economic Cooperative Society, who came to the Luogang branch for treatment. At the payment window, Mr. Li received his medications after paying one yuan through WeChat. The total cost of his medications was 116 yuan, including the one yuan he paid, 82 yuan covered by medical insurance funds and 33 yuan paid by the Cooperative Society.

On June 6th, 2022, Junhe Community launched the "one yuan treatment" service for around 9,000 registered residents of the Shima Economic Cooperative Society. The estimated cost for the first year is 500,000 yuan, which was raised jointly by the subdistrict office and the Cooperative Society. However, the actual amount used turned out to be 438,000 yuan. It is reported that the funding is ensured through the combination of the medical insurance settlement, financial support from the Cooperative Society, personal expenditure, donations and government investment.

Based on calculations, there are over 5,000 registered residents in the Luogang Economic Cooperative Society. To ensure the "one yuan treatment" service for all of them, 400,000 yuan in guarantee funds would be needed for the first year.

The urban version of the "one yuan treatment" service allows residents to access affordable and quality healthcare services within their communities. Twelve basic public health service projects free of charge, from the establishment of health archives to the management of chronic diseases and the health of the elderly, were launched by the government to cover the health management of the entire life span of the citizens.

It is also worth noting that the urban version of the "one yuan treatment" service has been upgraded to version 2.0, with the scope of services expanding to include the employees of local enterprises, while adding the projects of gynecology and traditional Chinese medicine therapy to further meet the healthcare needs of the patients.

可以坐一程短途公交，还可以在白云区均禾街社区卫生服务中心的石马院区、罗岗院区（以下简称“石马院区”“罗岗院区”）看一次病、拿一个月的药！

据了解，今年7月26日，罗岗院区开设了“减免门诊”，符合条件的罗岗经济联社居民就诊后，医保报销当次的一般诊疗费和药费，除去医保报销外，联社支持补助院区药品目录内药费和家庭医生基本服务包签约费，在医保报销额度内，居民每次就诊后个人只需缴费一元即可。

9月8日一早，记者来到罗岗院区，偶遇罗岗经济联社居民、51岁的高血压患者黎国盛前来就医。在收费窗口，黎国盛用微信支付了“一元钱”后，就取走了药品。这次开的药费用总计为116元，除去自己支付的一元钱外，医保统筹基金支付了82元，经济联社支付了33元。

2022年6月6日，均禾街道面向石马经济联社9000名户籍居民推出一元钱看病。首年测算需投入经费50万元，街道办事处和经济联社共筹资50万元，而实际使用金额为43.8万元。据介绍，资金保障采用“医保结算+经济联社支持+个人支出+捐赠+政府投入”模式。

经过测算，罗岗经济联社有户籍居民5000多名，实现“一元钱看病”，经济联社首年需要用到的保障费用预计为40万元。

城市版一元钱看病，让居民实现了“花小钱看好病”“小病不出社区”。健康档案建立、慢性病健康管理、老年人健康管理……国家推出了免费的12项基本公共卫生服务项目可以说为全民健康管理提供了全生命周期覆盖。

据了解，城市版“一元钱看病”目前升级到了2.0版，探索将服务范围逐渐扩展到辖区企业的职工，扩大诊疗范围，增加了妇科以及中医理疗项目，以满足就诊者的需求。
