On July 16th, China Eastern Airlines officially received the second domestically-developed large passenger aircraft C919 in Shanghai. The C919 operated the ferry flight of MU2999 from Shanghai Pudong International Airport to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (10:06 am-10.20 am), officially joining China Eastern Airlines.

The arrival of a new C919 aircraft marks the acceleration of China Eastern Airlines' commercial operation of the C919 large passenger aircraft.

The C919 received this time is the second aircraft among the first batch of five C919 aircrafts purchased by China Eastern Airlines, whose cabin layout is consistent with the first one. On July 14th, the CAAC East China Regional Administration issued the Certificate of Civil Aircraft Resignation, Airworthiness Certificate, and Aircraft Station License for the second C919 to China Eastern Airlines, marking its qualification for commercial operation.

According to the plan of China Eastern Airlines, the second C919 will partner with the first c919 for the air express route from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport to Chengdu Tianfu International Airport. More other routes will be explored in the future.

As the first domestic-developed aircraft customer, China Eastern Airlines officially received the world's first delivered C919 on December 9th, 2022. And on May 28th next year, it successfully completed the first commercial flight between Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport to Beijing Capital International Airport. In the future, this C919 will serve passengers on the Shanghai-Chengdu Express Line.

As of July 12th, the first C919 has carried out 87 commercial flights with an average passenger load factor of nearly 80%, serving 11,095 passengers with 250.10 hours of commercial operation.

After the first C919 delivery aircraft is put into operation, it may not operate commercial flights every day due to on-site training and planned maintenance. With the arrival of the second C919 on the Shanghai-Chengdu Express Line, passengers will have more choices to experience large domestic aircrafts by taking China Eastern Airlines flights.

Since the beginning of the commercial operation of C919, China Eastern Airlines has been committed to improving its service, such as providing "Jiu" themed meals for C919 aircraft, commemorative paper cups and cleaning bags to passengers, and equipping special aviation safety instructions videos with national characteristics. From July 1st, China Eastern Airlines has introduced new Shanghai-style airline meals for C919 passengers, including local smoked fish and local palmier (Hudiesu), to enhance the passenger's flying experience.

第二架国产大飞机“入列”！与首架机搭档执飞沪蓉快线

7月16日，中国东航在上海正式接收第二架国产C919大型客机。上午10时06分，飞机执行MU2999调机航班，从上海浦东国际机场调机起飞；10时20分落地上海虹桥国际机场，正式“入列”东航机队。

新一架C919飞机的到来，标志着东航商业运营C919大型客机正在提速。

此次东航接收的C919大型客机为东航首批采购5架C919客机中的第二架，客舱布局与首架机保持一致。7月14日，民航华东地区管理局向东航颁发第二架C919飞机的国籍登记证、适航证、无线电台许可证，标志着该飞机已具备商业运营资质。

根据东航的规划，第二架C919将与首架机“搭档”，首先投入东航“上海虹桥—成都天府”空中快线，后续将逐步拓展更多航线。

作为国产C919大型客机的全球首发用户，东航于2022年12月9日正式接收C919的全球首架交付机；2023年5月28日，东航圆满完成C919首个商业航班“上海虹桥——北京首都”的往返飞行，此后这架C919在沪蓉快线上服务旅客。

截至7月12日，首架C919共执行87班次商业航班，平均客座率近80%，累计服务旅客11095人次，累计商业运行250.10小时。

首架C919交付机投入运行后，由于兼顾本场训练及计划性维修等原因，所以未必每天都能亮相商业飞行。第二架C919亮相沪蓉快线后，旅客搭乘东航航班体验国产大飞机将有更多选择。

从C919商业运营伊始，东航就致力精进各项服务环节，例如为C919客机提供“玖”系列主题餐食，定制了纪念纸杯、清洁袋，并配备具有国风特色的专属航空安全须知视频。7月1日起，东航在C919执飞航班的餐食“上新”，新增本帮熏鱼、本帮蝴蝶酥等具有上海特色的航空餐食，提升旅客乘机体验。
