#TheGreatBeautyofGuangdong The 2023 summer fishing ban in the South China Sea is coming to an end. At this juncture, Guangdong Province is gearing up for the South China Sea Fishing Festival, a national celebration to pray for the safety and prosperity of fishermen and a bountiful harvest of fish and shrimps. On this occasion, Yangjiang City has arranged nine exciting events, including a sea worship ceremony, a seafood feast, and the 2nd Lotus Festival on Hailing Island, all of which exude rich local culture. Meanwhile, Zhanjiang City presents its 2023 Seafood Gourmet Season, while Maoming City marks the auspicious occasion with traditional ceremonial rituals in Bohe Town, beseeching for national prosperity, good weather, and a bountiful catch. In Jiangmen City, the Guanghai Fishing Port in Taishan is buzzing with fishing boats getting ready to set sail amid the lively sounds of drums and firecrackers. Furthermore, Shanwei City hosts celebrations at Matsu Square in Fengshan Mountain, where the first batch of returning catches will be auctioned. In Heyuan City, the 2023 Wanlv Lake Fishing Season brought over 60,000 pounds of fresh catches, with the largest one weighing an impressive 62.8 pounds.

2023年南海伏季休渔将正式结束。广东每年在这个时候都会举办南海开渔节，祈求渔民出海平安顺利、鱼虾满仓。阳江安排了发布祭海、渔家大宴、海陵岛第二届荷花节等9项精彩活动，充满了浓郁的地方文化色彩；湛江2023“红树林之城”海鲜美食放送季活动也同步举行；茂名2023南海（茂名博贺）开渔节祭海庆典以传统的祭祀仪式祈求国泰民安、风调雨顺、鱼虾满仓；江门台山广海渔港整齐排列的渔船，将在震撼的锣鼓声和鞭炮声中升起风帆；汕尾将在主会场汕尾市凤山妈祖广场举办开渔节活动，首批回港渔获将进行拍卖；河源2023万绿湖开渔活动当天收获6万余斤新鲜渔获，其中最大的“头鱼”重达62.8斤。
