Recently, the reporter learned from China Southern Power Grid that by the end of July 2023, the transacted quantity of green electricity in Guangdong was about 3.6 billion kilowatt-hours (KWH), 2.3 times the annual transacted quantity in 2022. Assuming that the annual electricity consumption of a family of three is 3,000 KWH, such a quantity of power can supply about 1.2 million households with electricity for a year.

To date, the total transacted quantity of green electricity in Guangdong has exceeded 5.1 billion KWH, equivalent to about 1.84 million tons of standard coals saved and over four million tons of carbon emissions reduced.

In September 2021, the trials for green electricity trading in southern China officially kicked off. In the past two years, the number of market entities participating in green electricity trading in Guangdong has increased by nearly 20 times, from over ten entities in the very beginning to over 200 in 2023, involving multiple industries such as metal manufacturing, cement and building materials, energy and chemical industry, food and catering, and medical biology.

Data show that enterprises with a focus on export trade are highly motivated to purchase green electricity. The Dongguan-based Wanyu Samxon Electronics Co.,Ltd earns 40% of its annual turnover from the export business. "We have carried out a survey and found that overseas customers tend to pay much attention to our transacted quantity of green electricity of the enterprises," said an official of the company.

According to the data, in the first half of 2023, the transacted electricity quantity of Guangdong, the major province of green electricity trading, has increased by about 120 times compared with that of 2021 for the whole year."About 40% of Guangdong's electricity users participating in the green electricity trading in 2022 consumed five million KWH of green electricity, while over 20% consumed more than 10 million KWH of green electricity," said an official of the Guangdong Electric Power Trading Center of Southern Power Grid. In his opinion, that shows a stronger initiative of the electricity consumers to purchase green electricity and a rise in the public's awareness of green electricity consumption.

According to statistics, as of July 2023, 42 electric power companies and 61 power generation enterprises in Guangdong have participated in green electricity trading, contributing to the revenue of power generation enterprises by a total of about 300 million RMB.

上半年广东绿电成交电量超去年全年的两倍

近日，记者从南方电网广东电网公司获悉，截至今年7月底，广东绿电交易成交电量近36亿千瓦时，是2022年全年成交电量的2.3倍。若按三口之家一年用电量3000千瓦时测算，可供约120万户家庭用电一年。

至此，广东绿电交易成交电量累计突破51亿千瓦时，相当于节约标准煤约184万吨，减少二氧化碳排放量逾400万吨。

2021年9月，南方区域绿色电力交易试点正式启动。近两年来，广东参与绿电交易的市场主体数量增长了近20倍，从最初十多家市场主体增加到今年的二百余家，涉及金属制造、水泥建材、能源化工、食品餐饮、生物医疗等多个行业。

数据显示，以出口贸易为主的企业购买绿电的积极性高。位于东莞的万裕三信电子公司，年营业额中40%来自出口业务。公司负责人表示，“我们调查发现，海外客户很看重企业的绿电交易量。”

根据数据，广东作为绿电交易大省，2023年上半年成交电量，相比2021年年成交量增长约120倍。“参与2022年广东绿电交易电力用户中，约4成用户绿电消费在500万千瓦时，超两成用户在1000万千瓦时以上。”南方电网广东电力交易中心相关负责人介绍，这表明用电企业购买绿电更加积极，社会各界绿色电力消费意识进一步提高。

据统计，今年截至7月，广东有42家售电公司和61家发电企业参与绿电交易，为发电企业增加收益共计约3亿元。
