The 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE) will be held from November 5th to 10th at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). The previous eight editions attracted more than 27,000 exhibitor participations by companies from over 180 countries and regions, with intended deals exceeding USD 580 billion. This year, 169 companies and 30 overseas exhibition organizers will return as regular participants, having taken part in every edition of the CIIE. About 50% of exhibitors are returning participants, accounting for around 80% of the exhibition area.

Many companies will bring new launches, debuts and first-time appearances to the expo. Louis Dreyfus Company will showcase innovative animal nutrition product s, while Rockwell Automation will make the global debut of a high-performance control platform. Stéphane de La Faverie, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Estée Lauder Companies, will attend the expo for the first time. He said the CIIE is an important platform that brings together innovative ideas from around the world, connects consumers and partners, and turns innovation into opportunities for growth. Boehringer Ingelheim will establish a new R&D center in Zhangjiang, Shanghai, while Henkel will participate in the expo for the eighth time.

This year's expo will upgrade its dedicated zone for Asian and African products to help African countries that have diplomatic relations with China tap into zero-tariff opportunities. The Agence Côte d’Ivoire Export will organize a delegation of small and medium-sized enterprises showcasing products including coffee, dried fruit, cocoa and cashews. China-ASEAN Business Center will also launch the Cross-Border Entrepreneur Club.

The CIIE-themed bazaar built by Greenland Group received more than 50,000 visits in the first three days of the National Day holiday, with sales of CIIE-featured foods and imported ingredients rising more than 85% year on year. Bailian Group reached agreements on 170 intended procurement projects over the previous eight editions. Ge Hong, deputy director-general of the China International Import Expo Bureau, said the CIIE will work in coordination with the "Export to China," "Shop in China" and "Invest in China" brands to facilitate targeted matchmaking between exhibitors and buyers. Shanghai is also improving support measures such as green channels and expedited customs clearance.

众多企业将首发、首展、首秀。路易达孚展示创新动物营养产品，罗克韦尔自动化全球首展高性能控制平台。雅诗兰黛集团总裁兼首席执行官司泰峰将首次到会，他说，进博会是汇聚全球创新理念、连接消费者与合作伙伴并将创新转化为发展机遇的重要平台。勃林格殷格翰将在上海张江设立新研发中心；汉高第八次参展。

本届升级亚非产品专区，帮助非洲建交国把握“零关税”机遇。科特迪瓦出口局将组织中小企业团带来咖啡、果干、可可、腰果等；中国—东盟经贸中心将上线“跨境企业家俱乐部”。

绿地进博集市假期前3天客流超5万人次，进博同款食品与进口食材销售额同比增长超85%。百联集团前8届累计达成170个意向采购项目。中国国际进口博览局副局长戈宏表示，进博会将与“出口中国”“购在中国”“投资中国”协同联动，推动展客商精准对接。上海优化绿色通道、极速通关等保障。
