In the latest INTERKULTUR World Rankings, the Guangzhou Little Petrel Children's Choir ("Little Petrel") from the Haizhu District Children's Palace in Guangzhou ranks No. 1 in both the "Children's and Youth Choirs" and "Folklore" categories, and No. 7 overall. It is currently the only children's choir in China to rank No. 1 in both the "Children's and Youth Choirs" and "Folklore" categories while also placing in the global top 10 overall. In August, the choir won two category titles in the Champions Competition at the 14th World Choir Games.

INTERKULTUR, an international cultural exchange foundation, is a global nonprofit organization headquartered in Giessen, near Frankfurt, Germany. Its World Choir Games, known as the "Olympics of Choral Music," are the world's largest and most prestigious international choral competition. Results from the Games are directly incorporated into the INTERKULTUR World Rankings and serve as a key benchmark for assessing a choir's overall strength and international influence.

The "Little Petrel" will hold its 2026 concert at Guangzhou's Xinghai Concert Hall on October 11th. Audiences will hear more than 20 outstanding Chinese and international works, including pieces that earned the "Little Petrel" its championship titles, selected works and new pieces to be premiered.

两项“世界第一”！广州小海燕合唱团闪耀国际舞台
在最新一期INTERKULTUR全球合唱团排名榜单中，来自中国广州市海珠区少年宫的小海燕合唱团，在童声及青年合唱组别世界第一，民谣组别世界第一，综合排名世界第七，是目前国内唯一同时跻身童声及青年组别与民谣组两项世界第一、综合排名全球前十的少儿合唱团。今年8月，小海燕合唱团在第十四届世界合唱比赛冠军赛上夺得两个组别的冠军。
据悉，INTERKULTUR国际文化交流基金会是一个全球性的公益组织机构，总部设在德国（法兰克福 -吉森）。其举办的世界合唱比赛，被誉为合唱界的“奥林匹克”，是全球规模最大、规格最高、最具权威性的顶级合唱赛事。赛事成绩直接计入全球官方排名体系，是衡量合唱团队综合实力与国际影响力的核心标准。
据悉，小海燕合唱团将于10月11日在广东星海音乐厅举办2026小海燕合唱团专场音乐会，届时观众们将欣赏到包括“小海燕”夺冠作品、精品力作和首演新作在内的20多首中外佳作。
