With red leaves against the blue sky and drums echoing through the mountains, lion dance and martial arts performances added to the festive atmosphere. Recently, the launch ceremony of the Guangzhou Martial Arts and Lion Dance Championships and the promotion event for the Red Leaf Viewing Season were held at Maofeng Mountain.

Centered on red leaf viewing and featuring intangible cultural heritage (ICH) performances such as Lingnan martial arts and lion dance, the event combined martial arts and dance performances with the red maples covering the mountain, offering residents and tourists an autumn cultural tourism experience blending natural scenery with ICH.

At the launch ceremony, martial arts and lion dance performances were staged in turn. Children's martial arts performances were powerful and dynamic, while classical dancers performed with long sleeves fluttering and garments flowing gracefully, showcasing the diverse character of Lingnan culture through a balance of strength and grace.

The red maple groves in Maofeng Mountain's Red Maple Garden are now ablaze with color, resembling fiery clouds. The maple groves extend along the hills and beside the water in a naturally varied pattern, forming a vibrant tapestry of deep red and orange-red hues. Compared with other autumn landscapes in the Lingnan region, the maples at Maofeng Mountain change color earlier and remain colorful for longer, making it a "first touch of autumn color in the Greater Bay Area." Many visitors stop to take photos among the maple trees, browse the specialty markets, stroll along the shores of Tianhu Lake, and take in the vibrant autumn scenery.

红枫似火，醒狮腾跃！广州市武术、醒狮锦标赛启动

红叶映蓝天，鼓乐震山林；醒狮展雄姿，武者显锋芒！近日，广州市武术、醒狮锦标赛启动仪式暨红叶观赏季推介会在帽峰山举行。

活动以红叶观赏为核心，以岭南武术、醒狮非遗展演为亮点，武术、舞蹈与满山红枫同台，为市民游客呈现一场山水与非遗交融的秋日文旅盛会。

启动仪式上，武术醒狮轮番登台。少儿武术展演气势如虹，古典舞长袖翻飞、衣袂蹁跹，刚柔并济演绎岭南文化的万千气象。

眼下，帽峰山红枫园内成片红枫如霞似火，成片枫林依山傍水、错落排布，深红、橙红交织铺展成绚烂画卷。对比岭南其他秋色景观，帽峰山红枫变色更早、观赏周期更长，堪称“湾区第一抹秋色”。不少游客驻足枫林间拍照打卡，逛特色市集，漫步天湖岸边，尽情饱览绚丽秋色。
