City Life | On September 8, XPENG’s humanoid robot production lines officially began operations in Guangzhou, with the world’s first advanced general-purpose humanoid robot autonomously walking off the production line after completing production.More than 80% of the core production processes are automated, despite there being no established production model to replicate. Why is Guangzhou emerging as a hub for humanoid robots? The answer lies in Guangdong’s combination of a strong manufacturing base capable of producing complex products and a wide range of real-world applications where robots can be tested, refined and improved. Together, these strengths provide the conditions needed to accelerate the mass production of humanoid robots.#citylife
