In June this year, the esports lineup for the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games was announced. Li Yang once again serves as the coach for the "PUBG Mobile Asian Games Version" event. On September 4th, China's sports delegation for the 20th Asian Games was officially established, and he will travel to the Asian Games venue with China's esports team. Li Yang also serves as Competition and Training Director of Guangzhou TT PUBG Mobile division. In June this year, he filed an application for the Guangdong First-Class Sports Medal in his capacity as gold medal-winning coach of the Hangzhou Asian Games.

At the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games, esports made its debut as an official medal sport. Li Yang led Team China to claim the gold medal in the "PUBG Mobile Asian Games Version" event. Selected for the Asian Games for the second time three years later, his keyword is "a fresh start": "Prepare ourselves as if we are a brand-new team."

Esports events at this Asian Games expand from 7 to 11. Team China will compete in four titles: "Honor of Kings", "PUBG Mobile Asian Games Version", "Identity V-Asian Games Version", and "Naraka: Bladepoint", with 4 coaches and 23 athletes selected in total. According to Li Yang, continuous improvements have been made in competition and training systems, data analysis, physical fitness and mental training. Coaches are required to do more than tactical arrangements; they must also handle team management, training schedules, athletes' mental states and on-site decision-making. Besides, the national team faces a concentrated competition cycle with limited time for team coordination compared with professional clubs. Li Yang holds that the team needs to achieve quick cohesion within the limited time and bring every member's strengths into full play.

从杭州到爱知·名古屋，电竞金牌教练李洋的“第二次出发”

今年6月，爱知·名古屋亚运会电竞项目名单公布，李洋再次担任《和平精英（亚运版本）》项目教练。9月4日，第20届亚运会中国体育代表团正式成立，他将随中国电竞队再赴亚运赛场。李洋同时担任广州TT和平精英分部赛训总监，今年6月以杭州亚运会冠军教练身份申报广东省体育运动一级奖章。

2023年杭州亚运会，电竞首次成为正式项目，李洋率中国队夺得和平精英亚运版本冠军。三年后再次入选，他给自己的关键词是“重新开始”：“把自己当成一支新队伍去准备。”

本届亚运会电竞项目从7个扩展至11个，中国队参加《王者荣耀》《和平精英（亚运版本）》《第五人格（亚运版本）》和《永劫无间》4个项目，共4名教练员、23名运动员入选。李洋表示，赛训体系、数据分析、体能和心理训练等方面都在不断完善，对教练的要求已超出战术安排，需同时面对团队管理、训练计划、心理状态和临场决策。另外，国家队面对的是集中比赛周期，相比俱乐部留给磨合的时间有限。李洋认为，需要在有限时间内快速完成团队磨合，把每个人的特点发挥出来。
