City Life | Even after completing their assignments in Xinjiang, teachers from Guangdong continue to provide remote teaching and guidance to Kashi Technician College. Some even fly back to Xinjiang whenever the college calls for support. Over the past 13 years, Guangdong’s vocational education support for Xinjiang has evolved from direct assistance toward building local capacity. Former students have gone on to win medals in skills competitions, while those they later trained have achieved similar success. A locally based teaching team is gradually taking shape in southern Xinjiang. From skills competitions to the workplace, vocational training is creating new opportunities for young people and helping build a stronger local skills base.#citylife
