From August 19th to 23rd, the 2026 World Robot Conference (WRC) was held in Beijing's Yizhuang; on the evening of August 22nd, the 2nd World Humanoid Robot Games (WRG) kicked off at the National Speed Skating Oval, the "Ice Ribbon." In this "two-track narrative," Guangdong-based enterprises emerged as the brightest stars. UBTECH, Leju, and AI² Robotics secured orders at the conference's signing ceremonies, while Honor Robot shattered records and showcased its prowess on the athletic field.

On the evening of August 22nd, the 2nd World Humanoid Robot Games opened at the "Ice Ribbon," bringing together 666 teams and 2,056 robots from 16 countries across six continents. The biggest sensation of the night was "Lightning," a humanoid robot from Shenzhen's Honor team. During pre-competition testing, Lightning clocked 9.32 seconds in the 100m sprint, reaching a peak speed of 14.5 meters per second and surpassing Usain Bolt's human world record of 9.58 seconds. In April this year, it had already broken the human half-marathon record with a time of 50 minutes and 26 seconds. GuoTao, an angel investor and veteran AI expert, noted that Honor can produce a smartphone every 28.5 seconds at its Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park in Pingshan. Such precision manufacturing capabilities and supply-chain control, he said, are key strengths in the robotics sector.

During the conference, the chairman of the UK's 48 Group Club brought direct procurement demands from Europe. In the first seven months of 2026, China's industrial robot exports reached 7.34 billion yuan, up 13.2% year‑on‑year, with products shipped to 141 countries and regions worldwide. Leju's expansion into the UK and the Netherlands epitomizes the accelerating global expansion of Chinese robotics. Data show that in 2025, Guangdong produced 336,300 industrial robots, accounting for 43.5% of the national total and ranking first in China for the sixth consecutive year. Its output of service robots reached 15.1821 million units, accounting for 81.7% of the national total.

从签约台到竞技场，广东机器人开启“双线叙事”

8月19日至23日，2026世界机器人大会（WRC）在北京亦庄举行；8月22日晚，第二届世界人形机器人运动会（WRG）在国家速滑馆“冰丝带”盛大开幕。在这场“双线叙事”中，广东企业成为最耀眼的角色。优必选、乐聚、智平方在大会签约台上拿订单，荣耀机器人在运动场上破纪录秀实力。

8月22日晚，第二届世界人形机器人运动会在“冰丝带”开幕，来自六大洲16个国家的666支队伍、2056台机器人同台竞技。真正引爆全场的，是深圳荣耀战队的人形机器人“闪电”。在备赛测试中，“闪电”跑出9秒32的百米成绩，峰值速度达14.5米/秒，超越博尔特9秒58的人类百米世界纪录。今年4月，它已以50分26秒的成绩打破人类半马纪录。天使投资人、资深人工智能专家郭涛指出，荣耀在坪山智能制造产业园能做到28.5秒下线一台手机，这种精密制造能力、供应链掌控力，正是机器人赛道的关键能力。

大会期间，英国48家集团俱乐部主席直接带来欧洲机器人采购需求。2026年前7个月，中国工业机器人出口73.4亿元、同比增长13.2%，已销往全球141个国家和地区。乐聚布局英国、荷兰，正是中国机器人出海加速的缩影。数据显示，2025年广东工业机器人产量达33.63万台，占全国43.5%，连续6年全国第一；服务机器人产量达1518.21万台，占全国81.7%。
