The 34th Guangzhou Fair was held from August 21st to 23rd at the China Import and Export Fair Complex, with its 3,500‑square‑meter Robot Performance Zone attracting the most visitors. The zone featured one main stage and two auxiliary stages, bringing together over 100 cutting‑edge robots from brands such as Unitree, EngineAI, and Agibot.

The robot demonstrations were diverse and engaging. Humanoid robots wearing protective gear went head-to-head in boxing matches and quickly got back on their feet after being knocked down. On the main stage, robots performed modern dance moves in sync with the music. In the interactive soccer area, small robots demonstrated image recognition and balance-control technologies as they played against children. Also drawing attention were bionic facial robots powered by multiple servos working in coordination, brain-computer interface mind-controlled racing, and remote control interactive robot dogs.

The exhibition also attracted foreign visitors. A Thai purchaser who had just bought a robotic dog tried it out on site and excitedly said, "The whole fair is very interesting and full of technology. I plan to take it home for my son to play with." In addition, Ms. Gao, a Chinese woman living and working in North Africa, brought her children to the show. She praised the robots' smooth and steady movements and hoped that the experience would give her children a firsthand feel for China's technological progress.

  • Guangdong's proven track record in embodied AI deployments
At the 2026 World Robot Conference(WRC), the Guangdong delegation presented a concentrated showcase of market-tested, real-world robotics products. Guangdong serves as one of China's primary hubs for the large-scale deployment of embodied AI robotics. In 2025, the province's industrial robot output reached 336,300 units, ranking first nationwide for six consecutive years, while service robot output reached 15.18 million units, accounting for 81.7% of China's total. As a pioneer in launching the "Guangdong Embodied Intelligence Application Scenario Challenge Tour," Guangdong has unlocked over 50 real-world scenarios and established the "Yue Zhi Fu"platform (an online matching platform for Guangdong manufacturing empowerment), connecting 962 enabling institutions to foster hands-on, real-scene training.
