The 2026 World Robot Conference (WRC) is in full swing in Beijing's E‑Town. Coinciding with the conference, Xinhua News Agency has, for the first time, introduced the concept of the "Shenzhen Cycle," offering insights into the driving forces behind Shenzhen's pursuit of greater self-reliance and strength in science and technology. The acceleration of industrial deployment and close coordination among upstream and downstream companies are the most visible manifestations of the "Shenzhen Cycle."

At this year's exhibition, Shenzhen is represented by 28 exhibitors, accounting for about 7.5% of the total domestic participants, forming a complete industrial loop from core components to full humanoid robots. It covers nearly the entire humanoid‑robot industrial chain, making it an important window for observing the domestic robotics industry. Wang Qian, founder of X Square Robot, noted that the application of robots in productivity scenarios is a direction pursued by companies both at home and abroad. Some overseas peers took two and a half years to deploy robots on real production lines, while X Square Robot accomplished it in just three months, thanks to the strong generalization and foundational capabilities of its base model.

The vitality of the "Shenzhen Cycle" also lies in the close coordination and rapid response of small and medium-sized enterprises across the industrial chain. When the Shunan Bamboo Sea scenic area in Yibin, Sichuan, urgently sought to introduce a high-tech cultural tourism project, Wangxing Robot quickly developed a customized robot theater solution after receiving the project requirements. The solution featured robots from LimX Dynamics, while the company simultaneously completed the design of the performance script and development of customized algorithms. From initial requirements matching and solution customization to the deployment and live demo of the robots, the entire process took less than a week. Today, Shenzhen has established a comprehensive, multi-tiered robotics industry ecosystem.
