On July 18th in Shanghai, several forums kicked off at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC). During the Foundation Model Architecture Innovation & Ecosystem Co-creation Forum, SenseTime unveiled its flagship multimodal foundation model, the SenseNova-U1 Pro. The model features native support for 8K high‑definition image output and is designed for professional use cases including urban planning, commercial visuals, and film and video production.

In the computing power ecosystem development segment, SenseTime joined forces with nearly 20 domestic chip companies to launch the "Galaxy Plan", a joint initiative to build 5 domestic intelligent computing clusters with a 10,000-card scale. This project aims to streamline the entire chain, covering model adaptation, computing resource scheduling, and real‑world deployment, while also tackling the critical challenge of adapting large models to domestic computing power.

The Xingshu Plan, led by Fudan University, also made a high‑profile debut at this year's WAIC. Its first satellite constellation features a minimalist three‑satellite architecture, comprising a central computing master satellite, the Fuxi meteorological satellite, and a real‑time remote sensing satellite. The master satellite alone incorporates five disruptive homegrown hardware innovations, filling several critical technological gaps in China's domestic industry.

During the Tencent AI Application Innovation Forum, JD.com took a different path. Instead of competing solely on model parameters, the company leveraged its more than two decades of supply chain expertise to enable AI to undergo continuous training, validation, and value creation in real‑world settings. During WAIC, JD.com unveiled two new models: the JoyAI‑Talker for real‑time voice interaction and the JoyAI‑Video‑Edit for real‑time video editing. More significantly, JD.com announced the open-sourcing of EgoLive, the largest egocentric dataset in the field. The dataset involved 600,000 participants and amassed 10 million hours of real‑world data over two years, while the company also launched a dedicated data trading platform. JD.com also introduced its first JoyInside "AI Home", which already covers living rooms, kitchens, study areas, and bedrooms. JoyInside, an AI agent for smart hardware, is set to connect more than 10 million devices by the end of this year.

At the Seminar on Fostering Economic Innovation and Global Collaboration through AI, a central focus was Hong Kong's core role as a "super‑connector" and "super value‑adder" that bridges mainland China's technological innovation with global markets. Zhong Yongxi, chief representative for the Chinese mainland at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), said that AI is moving from technological breakthroughs to large‑scale industrial deployment. He added that the HKTDC will actively support mainland AI companies in going global, accelerate scenario-driven development, build international platforms for innovation and technology, and foster broader global collaboration.

从实验室走向应用场景，AI加速“上天入地出海”

7月18日的上海，世界人工智能大会（WAIC）的多个论坛开讲。在“基座大模型构架创新与生态合作论坛”上，商汤科技正式发布日日新SenseNova-U1 Pro旗舰多模态基座大模型。该模型原生支持8K高清画面输出，覆盖城市规划、商业视觉、影视创作等专业场景。

在算力生态布局环节，商汤联合近20家国产芯片企业启动“银河计划”，共建五大万卡级国产智算集群，打通模型适配、算力调度、场景落地全链条，破解大模型国产算力适配难题。

复旦大学牵头打造的“星枢计划”也在本届WAIC重磅亮相。首发星座采用“1颗中心算力主星+伏羲气象星+即时遥感星”极简星簇布局，在主星研制上具有五项颠覆性国产硬件创新，填补多项国内技术空白。

在“腾讯AI应用创新论坛”上，京东展示了另一条路径：不单纯比拼模型参数，而是依托20余年供应链能力，让AI在现实世界中持续训练、验证并创造价值。WAIC期间，京东发布JoyAI-Talker实时语音交互模型和JoyAI-Video-Edit实时视频编辑模型。更具行业意义的是，京东宣布开源行业最大人类视角数据集EgoLive——60万人参与数据采集，2年内积累1000万小时真实数据，并搭建数据交易平台。京东介绍，其首个JoyInside“AI Home”已覆盖客厅、厨房、学习区和卧室，JoyInside智能硬件平台计划在今年内接入超过1000万台硬件设备。

在“AI驱动经济前沿与全球协同论坛”上，香港作为连接内地技术创新与全球市场的“超级联系人”和“超级增值人”的核心定位被重点讨论。香港贸发局副总裁钟永喜表示，人工智能正从技术突破迈向产业规模化，香港贸发局将积极支持内地AI企业出海，加快场景引领，搭建国际创科平台，推动更多国际合作。
