On the first day of the May Day holiday, expressways in Guangdong handled about 11.57 million vehicle trips, up 18.14% year on year and setting a new record. Among them, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link recorded about 190,700 vehicle trips, also reaching a new historic high.
On May 1st, Guangdong recorded 43.64 million cross-regional passenger trips, an increase of 14.34% year on year and a record high, underscoring the strong momentum in holiday travel.
Railways, including Guangdong-operated intercity railways, handled about 2.84 million passenger trips, up 13.73% year on year and also setting a new record. Of the total, Guangdong-operated intercity railways carried about 360,700 passenger trips, breaking the single-day passenger traffic record again after setting a new high on April 30th.
Urban rail transit systems across the province recorded about 25.2 million passenger trips, up 17.53% year on year. Road passenger trips reached about 40.25 million, an increase of 14.4%. On May 1st, expressways across the province handled about 11.57 million vehicle trips, up 18.14% year on year and hitting a record high.
The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge recorded about 24,800 vehicle trips, up 19.41% year on year. The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link handled about 190,700 vehicle trips, once again surpassing the previous record of 182,200 vehicle trips set during the Qingming Festival holiday. The Link is expected to handle more than 880,000 vehicle trips during the May Day holiday, with a daily average of 176,700 vehicle trips, up 6.57% year on year.
“五一”假期首日，广东多项交通数据创历史新高
“五一”假期首日，广东高速公路车流量约1156.83万车次，同比增长18.14%，创历史新高。其中，深中通道车流量约19.07万车次，也刷新了历史纪录。
5月1日，广东跨区域人员流动量4364.03万人次，同比增长14.34%，创历史新高，交通出行活力澎湃。
铁路（含省自主运营城际铁路）客运量约283.54万人次，同比增长13.73%，刷新历史纪录。其中，广东省自主运营城际铁路客运量约36.07万人次，继4月30日创下单日客流新高后再度刷新历史纪录。
全省城市轨道交通客运量2519.81万人次，同比增长17.53%。公路人员流动量4024.78万人次，同比增长14.4%。5月1日，全省高速公路车流量约1156.83万车次，同比增长18.14%，创历史新高。
港珠澳大桥车流量约2.48万车次，同比增长19.41%。深中通道车流量约19.07万车次，再次刷新清明假期创下的18.22万车次纪录。预计深中通道“五一”假期累计车流量将超过88万车次，日均17.67万车次，同比增长6.57%。
