In January 2026, the Egyptian Tourism Authority launched a three-city roadshow in China, covering key cities of Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. During the Guangzhou event on January 16th, the Egyptian delegation held multiple discussions with representatives from China's tourism industry, the media, and partners.

Interest in ancient Egyptian civilization has remained high in recent years. On February 6th, the Nanyue King Museum in Guangzhou will open its first ticketed major exhibition, "A Gift of the Nile: Ancient Egyptian Artifacts and Digital Art Experience," inside the Site of the King's Tomb exhibition area. During the Guangzhou roadshow, the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum, unveiled at the end of last year, became a major focus of attention.

As a highlight of the promotion, the Grand Egyptian Museum(GEM), which officially opened in November 2025, has captured widespread interest. Located beside the Pyramids of Giza, the GEM is the largest museum in the world devoted to a single civilization. It houses more than 100,000 artifacts, including the complete burial collection of King Tutankhamun, displayed together in one space for the first time.

According to official figures, Egypt received about 360,000 Chinese tourists in 2025, marking a 20% increase from the previous year.

埃及旅游局CEO广州路演打CALL 全新大埃及博物馆！

2026年1月，埃及旅游局在中国启动三城巡回路演活动，覆盖北京、上海与广州三大核心城市。1月16日的广州路演活动中，埃及旅游局代表团与中国旅游业界代表、媒体及合作伙伴展开多轮对话。

据悉，古埃及文明近年持续火热，今年2月6日，南越王博物院首个收费大展“尼罗河的赠礼——古埃及文物与数字艺术体验展”将在王墓展区启幕。在此次广州路演活动中，于去年底全新开放的大埃及博物馆成为业界关注的焦点。

作为路演推介的重点，已于2025年11月正式开放的大埃及博物馆（Grand Egyptian Museum，GEM）备受关注。该馆坐落在吉萨金字塔旁，是全球规模最大、专注于单一文明的博物馆，收藏文物超过100,000件，其中包括图坦卡蒙国王的完整墓葬藏品，这些藏品首次于同一空间集中展出。

据介绍，2025年埃及共接待约36万名中国游客，较前一年增长20%。
