On January 16th, the 2026 "Guangdong Flavor Shared Worldwide" campaign kicked off with great enthusiasm at Zhenbang Food Street in Shantou.
The event attracted over 100 international influencers from 30 countries including the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, and Russia, who witnessed this grand celebration.
The venue was decorated with lanterns and colored streamers. The Qilou (arcade buildings) Old Street and intangible cultural heritage elements complemented each other perfectly, while the aromas of Chaoshan braised delicacies and gongfu tea filled the air. International travel influencers were instantly immersed in the festive atmosphere of Chinese New Year in Guangdong upon their arrival. They personally tried their hand at traditional crafts like Chaoshan paper-cuttings, oil-paper lanterns making, gongfu tea brewing, and Peach-shaped Kuehmaking. Several influencers shared their experiences of celebrating Chinese New Year in Guangdong.
"My favourite Guangdong food is guotiao (rice noodles). I could eat it every day!" exclaimed travel influencer Cali from Canada, expressing his love for Guangdong cuisine. "Guotiao doesn't taste greasy at all, with a distinctive and fresh beef flavor, and it's much healthier than other fried foods."
On site, he proudly showed off a fan inscribed with the phrase "Lao Ye Bao Hao" (May the deities protect you), which drew laughter from the audience. "I know that in the Chaoshan region, 'Lao Ye'is highly revered.By holding this fan, I can receive the blessing and have a smooth year ahead," Cali said.
During the event, a powerful Yingge dance was performed for entertainment in the Small Park. Songs in the Chaoshan dialect conveyed the vibrant flavor of everyday life, interactive exchanges of local auspicious phrases brought everyone closer, and the grand finale was the magnificent performance of "Chaoshan Big Gongs and Drums".

百位国际达人在广东汕头沉浸式过大年
1月16日,“广东年味世界共享”——请到广东过大年新春活动在汕头镇邦美食街热力启幕。
来自英国、美国、德国、俄罗斯等30个国家超100位外籍达人见证了这场盛会。
活动现场张灯结彩,骑楼老街与非遗元素交相辉映,潮汕卤香、工夫茶香袅袅萦绕,让国际旅游达人一进入现场即沉浸于浓郁的“广东年味”之中。他们亲手体验潮汕剪纸、油纸灯笼制作、工夫茶冲泡、红桃粿制作等传统技艺……多位达人分享了他们的广东年味体验。
“我最喜欢的广东食物是粿条,我能天天吃粿条!”来自加拿大的旅游达人卡里兴奋地表达了对广东美食的热爱。“粿条有着非常独特且新鲜的牛肉风味,吃起来也不会觉得太油腻,和其他油炸食物比起来真的很健康。”
在现场,他自豪地展示了自己手中写着“老爷保号”的扇子,引得观众纷纷笑起来。“我知道在潮汕,‘老爷’是非常受尊崇的,所以我拿着这把扇子,能得到‘老爷’的庇佑,这一年都会顺顺利利。”卡里说。
席间,雄浑的英歌舞在小公园内上演助兴,潮语歌曲唱出浓浓烟火气,方言吉祥话互动拉近彼此距离,气势磅礴的《潮汕大锣鼓》为宴会压轴收尾。
