The "Guangdong Taste Shared Worldwide" campaign kicked off in Shantou on January 16, attracting more than 100 international influencers from over 30 countries. Using food as a bond and traditions as a bridge, the event, held alongside the "Guangdong Goods Global Reach" spring campaign, showcased the unique charm of Lingnan's Spring Festival.
The venue featured eight interactive zones for intangible cultural heritage experiences. International participants tried their hand at traditional skills such as Chaoshan paper-cutting, oil-paper lantern making, Kung Fu tea brewing, and red peach-shaped cake making.
The culinary session was equally impressive. Master Chef Zhong Chengquan, a leading figure in Chaozhou cuisine, explained the culture behind the dishes as specialties like braised goose and pork knuckle rice were served. The feast was complemented by vibrant performances in the nearby Xiaogongyuan area: the powerful Yingge dance, the local-flavored Chaoshan dialect song I Love Chaoshan Snacks, and the grand finale of the majestic Chaoshan gong and drum ensemble. The unique appeal of Lingnan culture was felt deeply through both the cuisine and the artistry.
This event is a key part of Guangdong's global strategy to promote inbound tourism. To amplify its reach, Guangdong will focus on three key areas: innovation in cultural tourism products, unleashing consumption potential, and promoting international branding.
百位国际达人在广东“沉浸式过大年”
1月16日,“广东年味世界共享”请到广东过大年新春活动在汕头镇邦美食街启动,吸引来自30个国家超100位外籍达人参与。活动以美食为纽带、年俗为桥梁,结合“广货行天下”春季行动,展现岭南新春的独特魅力。
活动现场设置了八大非遗体验区,外籍达人体验潮汕剪纸、油纸灯笼制作、工夫茶冲泡、红桃粿制作等传统技艺。多位在粤工作生活的外籍达人分享了他们的广东年味体验——从学写春联、体验舞狮到品味地道卤鹅,真挚的讲述让“广东年味”更富感染力。
美食品鉴环节同样精彩纷呈。潮菜泰斗钟成泉大师现场讲解美食文化,卤鹅、猪脚饭等地道佳肴轮番呈现。席间,雄浑的英歌舞在小公园内上演助兴,潮语歌曲《我爱潮汕小吃》唱出浓浓烟火气,气势磅礴的《潮汕大锣鼓》压轴收尾,岭南文化的独特魅力随着佳肴与乐声深入人心。
据悉,此次活动是广东入境游全球推广计划的重要环节。为进一步提升推广效果,广东发起“Meet in Guangdong”海外社交平台挑战赛,面向全球征集广东旅游推荐原创优质内容。接下来,广东将持续聚焦文旅产品创新、消费潜力释放与国际品牌推广三大方向,推动春节文旅热度转化为产业长期发展动力,为粤港澳大湾区建设世界级旅游目的地提供持续支撑。
