Guangdong's lion-head goose output surges to 100 billion yuanin three years

On the evening of January 17th, the Shantou Lion-head Goose Industry Association Annual Meeting and Industry High-quality Development Conference officially opened.

"No goose, no feast" is a long-standing saying in the Chaoshan region, vividly reflecting the importance of lion-head goose on local dining tables.

This delicacy has long gone beyond traditional cuisine. Supported by an entire industrial chain featuring standardized breeding, refined processing and brand-oriented operations, lion-head goose has expanded from the streets and alleys of Chaoshan to dining tables across China and even worldwide, rising into an industry worth over 100 billion yuan that boosts local incomes in just three years. At present, Shantou lion-head goose products have made initial inroads into markets such as Thailand, Cambodia, the United Kingdom and Australia.

As a well-known hometown of overseas Chinese in China, the 15 million Chaoshan natives living abroad have certainly become a vital bridge for the global expansion of the lion-head goose industry. "Chaoshan braised goose is the hometown flavor we have always longed for. This meal is truly a happy one," said Chen Yingling, a Thai Chinese.

As a highlight of the event, the goose banquet attended by thousands of guests energized the atmosphere on site. Innovative dishes such as braised goose platters, goose feet and sea cucumber braised in abalone sauce, and signature goose fried rice were served one after another, allowing guests from around the world to experience firsthand the warmth, vibrancy and culinary charm of this overseas Chinese hometown.

“广货”狮头鹅:三年跃升百亿产值!

1月17日晚,汕头市狮头鹅产业协会年会暨产业高质量发展大会启幕。

“无鹅不成宴”,这句在潮汕地区流传已久的俗语,道尽了狮头鹅在潮汕人餐桌上的分量。

这道舌尖美味,早已突破传统饮食的范畴,凭借标准化养殖、精细化加工、品牌化运营的全链条布局,从潮汕街头巷尾飞向全国乃至全球餐桌,仅用3年时间便崛起为产值超百亿的富民产业。目前,汕头狮头鹅产品已初步进入泰国、柬埔寨、英国、澳大利亚等市场。

作为全国著名侨乡,1500万潮籍侨胞无疑是狮头鹅产业出海的天然纽带。“潮汕卤鹅是我们魂牵梦绕的家乡味,这一餐很幸福。”泰国华裔陈映玲感慨。

作为盛会的重磅环节,万人鹅宴将现场氛围推向高潮。卤鹅拼盘、鲍汁焖鹅脚海参、金牌鹅肉炒饭等创新佳肴接连上桌,让四海宾朋在风味流转间,真切触摸到侨乡热气腾腾的幸福烟火。
