As the year 2026 marks the beginning of China's 15th Five-Year Plan, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Auto Show enters a new chapter, celebrating its 30th anniversary. On January 4th, the 30th edition of the show was officially scheduled to run from May 29th to June 7th at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center. As the first major automotive technology showcase in the 2026 APEC "China Year," the event will leverage Shenzhen's strong innovation ecosystem and dynamic market environment to design multi-level, multi-scenario experience routes. It will also integrate diverse formats such as light-and-shadow shows and urban pop-up events, enabling the public to get a close-up look at how smart mobility is gradually taking shape.

Alongside the auto show, M CUBE 2026 Man Machine Mobility, the fourth edition of the conference, will bring together global industry leaders to explore new pathways for innovation. Coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the iHome smart ecosystem, this year's event will continue to elevate its scope, building an experience platform that connects everyday life with diverse application scenarios.

The 2025 edition of the auto show covered an exhibition area of 260,000 square meters, attracting 112 vehicle brands that showcased 1,039 models. Over its nine-day run, the event received 890,000 visits and recorded intended transactions worth 10.07 billion yuan. Online topics related to the show generated more than 2.9 billion views, with total online exposures exceeding 11 billion, highlighting the show's strong ability to bring together industry resources and stimulate market demand.

In 2025, the HarmonyOS Intelligent Mobility Pavilion made its debut as an independent exhibition hall, showcasing coordinated development across its technology ecosystem. The BYD Exhibition Hall offered a panoramic display of its brand portfolio and cutting-edge technologies. Meanwhile, the future mobility space station exhibition area systematically outlined an integrated air-and-ground mobility ecosystem.

At present, Shenzhen has opened 2,101 kilometers of roads to intelligent connected vehicles (ICV) testing and demonstration, providing solid support for the steady advancement of forward-looking policies that enable fully driverless testing. At the same time, the city has continued to strengthen its innovation foundations through sustained investment. Total R&D spending across Shenzhen accounts for 6.46% of the city's GDP, giving rise to a number of world-class innovative enterprises.
