City Life｜Shenzhen Splendid China will open its New Year Lantern con December 5, with the event running until March 2026. Covering a 530,000-square-meter area, the festival features over 40 themed lantern displays, including the debut of the Forbidden City lantern IP. This series incorporates classic designs such as painted enamel gourd-shaped lanterns and square lanterns, blending intangible cultural heritage skills with palace lantern culture to create a fusion of Lingnan traditions and imperial aesthetics. The event also collaborates with two popular film and TV IPs—"A Dream of Splendor" and "The Litchi Road"—to create immersive themed streets.
