On the morning of November 22nd, the 17th World Culture Festival opened on the sports field in the Baiyun Mountain Campus of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS), coinciding with the university's 60th anniversary celebrations.

This year's festival featured the university's largest-ever cuisine corridor, with international students and volunteers from around 30 countries　across six continents setting up booths showcasing their native cuisines, together creating a feast for the senses.

Golden Russian honey wine, soft and sweet German waffles, creamy Italian carbonara pasta, and uniquely flavored Peruvian ceviche marinated in lime juice, the diverse dishes drew many alumni and students eager to taste.

Beyond food, international students also prepared a rich tapestry of cultural performances. At the Yemen booth, a student named Loke explained traditional Yemeni attire in Chinese, smiling as she put beaded necklaces on visitors and decorative Jambiyya around children's waists. Next to the South Africa booth, international students danced in a circle.

On the evening of November 23rd, the 17th World Culture Festival Evening Gala was held in the Yunshan Conference Hall on the Baiyun Mountain Campus, bringing together teachers and students from dozens of countries. A band of international students performed the Cantonese classic "Boundless Oceans, Vast Skies," sparking a campus-wide sing-along.

The finale, "Starlight Weaving Dreams A New Anthem For Sixty Years," was presented by students from many countries in unison to celebrate GDUFS's 60th anniversary.An international student named Lisa sang "Mo Li Hua," voicing her love for Chinese culture. In the end, participants raised signs reading "From GDUFS to the World" and wished GDUFS a happy birthday in unison.

广外第十七届世界文化节成功举办

11月22日上午，在广东外语外贸大学60周年校庆之际，第十七届世界文化节在白云山校区体育场开幕。

本次世界文化节美食长廊规模为广外史上最盛大的，来自30个国家、6大洲的留学生和志愿者齐聚一堂，支起各国特色的美食摊位，一同打造视觉、听觉、味觉的盛宴。

金黄的俄罗斯蜂蜜酒、松软香甜的德式华夫饼、奶香浓郁的意大利卡博纳拉面、风味独特的秘鲁酸橘汁腌鱼……各国美食吸引不少校友和学生前来品尝。

除了美食，留学生们还准备了精彩的文化展演。洛珂用中文讲解也门传统服饰，笑着为游客戴上彩珠项链，给小朋友佩上腰刀。南非摊位旁，留学生们围圈起舞。

23日晚，第十七届世界文化节晚会在白云山校区云山会堂举行。来自全球数十个国家的师生齐聚一堂。其中，多国留学生们组成乐队演绎的粤语金曲《海阔天空》，引发全场大合唱。

压轴节目《星光筑梦甲子新声》由多国学子齐声献礼广外六十华诞，留学生丽莎以一曲《茉莉花》唱出对中国文化的热爱。最后，众人高举“从广外，向世界”的字牌，齐声祝福广外生日快乐。
