On November 9th, as the 15th National Games opened in Guangzhou, the number of inbound and outbound passengers processed at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport Port exceeded 14.71 million as of 5:03 a.m., surpassing the total for all of 2024. This figure accounts for about 13% of all passengers processed through China's airport ports. Since the beginning of this year, passenger traffic through the airport port has increased by about 19% year-on-year, with more than 2.6 million foreign arrivals, making up around 38% of total inbound travelers, a 36.5% increase compared with the same period last year.

In recent years, China has continued to expand its visa-free "circle of friends." So far, citizens of 47 countries have been granted unilateral visa-free entry, and the 240-hour visa-free transit policy has been extended to include 55 countries, fully unleashing the benefits of these favorable policies.

To enhance the border clearance experience, Baiyun Immigration Inspection Station has continued to streamline procedures for foreign travelers by advancing steps such as biometric data collection and arrival card filling, while actively applying AI technology. The station has also made full use of facilitation policies for entry and exit, optimized visa-free entry procedures, upgraded the Temporary Entry Permit Application area, added more service counters, and released multilingual instructional videos. These improvements allow passengers to complete both temporary entry permits and entry procedures in one step.

"Nothing feels quite like coming home. It took less than five minutes to clear customs, and the dedicated channel service was so considerate!" said a diver from the Hong Kong, China delegation who arrived in Guangzhou from Malaysia to participate in the 15th National Games. Recently, several major events — including the 138th Canton Fair, the 2025 Global Investment Promotion Conference for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), and the 15th National Games — have been held in quick succession in Guangzhou, driving a surge in arrivals at Baiyun Airport port, where the daily inbound passenger volume has reached 26,000, up about 24% year-on-year.

广州白云机场口岸出入境人员突破去年总量

11月9日，第十五届全国运动会在广州开幕，截至当日5时3分，广州白云机场口岸今年出入境人员已超1471万人次，突破2024年全年总数，约占全国空港出入境人员总量的13%。今年以来，白云机场口岸出入境人员较去年同期增长约19%，其中入境外国人超260万人次，占入境人员总量约38%，同比增长36.5%。

近年来，我国持续扩大免签“朋友圈”，47个国家实施单方面免签，240小时过境免签政策适用国家扩展至55国，政策红利充分释放。

为提升通关体验，白云边检站持续优化入出境外国人手续办理，前置生物信息采集、入境卡填写等环节，积极运用AI技术；用足用好出入境便利政策，优化免签入境手续办理，升级临时入境许可专区，增设申办窗口，制作发布外语版申办指引视频，实现临时入境许可与入境手续一次办结。

“回家通关就是不一样，不到5分钟，专用通道的服务太贴心了！”中国香港跳水代表队运动员从马来西亚飞抵广州，参加第十五届全国运动会。近期，第138届中国进出口商品交易会、2025粤港澳大湾区全球招商大会、第十五届全国运动会等大型赛会在广州密集举办，为广州白云机场口岸带来入境人员高峰，日均入境人员达2.6万人次，同比增长约24%。
