On the morning of November 8th, the men's individual road race at China's 15th National Games kicked off in Zhuhai. The road race's 231.8-kilometer route crosses the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, making it the first cross-boundary race connecting the three host regions of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in the National Games' history.

Thirty-three years ago, Zhuhai pioneered the construction of a coastal scenic route named "Lovers' Road", which remains unique in China. Fifteen years ago, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge was put into construction across the Lingdingyang sea area. Spanning from north to south, this bridge has set multiple world records.

During the race, athletes needed to pass through the border ports of Hong Kong, Zhuhai, and Macao six times in a single day through "seamless clearance". From Lovers' Road in Zhuhai, the Macao Bridge and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge to the Lantau Highway in Hong Kong and the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zonein Hengqin, the athletes continuously pushed the pace, experiencing the accelerating integration within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

The GBA's total economic output has surged from 10.8 trillion yuan in 2018 to 14.79 trillion yuan in 2024. Today, an increasing number of lawyers, doctors, and tax advisors from Hong Kong and Macao are practicing across borders, making a dual-city lifestyle the norm. What unfolds beneath the wheels of the athletes extends beyond the 231.8-kilometer route, but is an innovative path leading to the deep integration of the GBA.

全运史上首次跨境比赛！公路自行车男子个人赛落幕

11月8日上午，第十五届全国运动会自行车（公路）比赛男子个人赛，在珠海开赛。它全程231.8公里，以港珠澳大桥为纽带，是全运会历史上首个跨越粤港澳三地的标志性赛事。

33年前，珠海一条海滨路动工建设。它被命名为“情侣路”，这在中国“绝无仅有”。15年前，伶仃洋上，港珠澳大桥开工建设。一桥飞架南北，创造了多项“世界之最”。

运动员需要在一天内6次以“无感通关”的方式跨越香港、珠海、澳门三地口岸。在珠海情侣路，在澳门大桥，在港珠澳大桥，在香港大屿山公路，在横琴粤澳深度合作区，运动员们不断刷新速度，感受着粤港澳大湾区融合发展的加速度。

大湾区经济总量已从2018年的10.8万亿元跃升至2024年的14.79万亿元。如今，越来越多的港澳律师、医生、税务师等跨境执业，双城生活成为常态。选手们车轮下延伸的，不仅是231.8公里的赛道，更是一条通往粤港澳大湾区深度融合的创新之路。
