The 8th China International Circus Festival concluded in Hengqin on November 8th.

This year's festival brought together 18 top-tier performances from over 10 countries. During the 10-day circus extravaganza, artists from around the globe joined forces to present 24 world-class circus shows, drawing close to 100,000 visitors to the grand event.

Urs Pilz, President of the World Circus Federation (Fédération Mondiale du Cirque) and Vice-President of the International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo, noted that circus is inherently international, transcending national borders and connecting diverse cultures. He also highlighted that China has received the most top awards at the International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo, and that both the International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo and the China International Circus Festival both rank among the elite of the world's circus festivals.

At this year's festival, Chinese performances showcased the Eastern chapter of circus art. The performance "Meteor Juggling" carries forward "Wuliuxing," a unique Chinese acrobatic art form. It premiered multiple highly difficult techniques, including "dual meteors whirling above a three-person base" and "continuous backflips with dual meteors whirling," and "three-person waist-supported rotation". These acts brilliantly present traditional Chinese acrobatic arts, preserving the essence of Eastern art while demonstrating the innovative vitality of Chinese circus for a global audience.

第八届中国国际马戏节上演24场全球顶级马戏，吸引10万观众

11月8日，第八届中国国际马戏节在横琴落下帷幕。

第八届马戏节汇聚了来自10多个国家的18个顶尖节目。在为期10天的马戏艺术盛宴中，来自全球的艺术家们携手，上演24场顶级马戏表演，吸引近10万名游客共襄盛会。

“马戏生而国际化，它跨越国界，连接不同民族。”世界马戏联合会主席、蒙特卡洛国际马戏节副主席乌尔斯·皮尔兹说，“中国是斩获蒙特卡洛国际马戏节顶级奖项最多的国家，蒙特卡洛国际马戏节与中国国际马戏节同属世界顶级马戏节品牌。”

本届马戏节上，中国演出节目书写着马戏艺术的东方篇章。节目《星河流转·流星》传承我国独有杂技“舞流星”，并独创“双流星轿子提上三节人”“双流星蹬人连续后空翻”“三人举腰脚磨转”等多组高难度技巧，精彩呈现中国传统杂技艺术。这些作品在保留东方艺术神韵的同时，彰显了中国马戏面向世界的创新活力。
