On June 30th, the 20th China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair (CISMEF) concluded in Guangzhou, delivering an impressive "report card". Over 50 countries (regions) and international organizations, more than 2,000 exhibitors, and upwards of 10,000 buyers attended, with the intended transaction amount exceeding  100 billion yuan. This global SME event not only highlights China's economic vitality but also showcases the transformation and upgrading of the "Guangdong‑made" market.

SMEs (Small and medium enterprises) form the foundation of Guangdong's economy. By the end of 2024, there were 19.0488 million registered market entities in Guangdong, accounting for about one-tenth of the national total, and the number of SMEs exceeded 7.74 million, roughly one‑eighth of the national total. The private economy contributes more than 50 % of the province's GDP, over 60 % of its exports and imports, upwards of 60 % of tax revenue, over 70 % of technological innovation achievements, 80 % of new employment, and over 90 % of market entities. Among them, small, medium, and micro enterprises are the main force of the private economy.

At the CISMEF exhibition hall, the innovative vitality of "Guangdong‑made" was palpable. From intelligent robots to automated drones, behind these products lies the continuous investment in technological R&D by Guangdong's SMEs. In recent years, Guangdong has prioritized manufacturing, opened up technological resources to SMEs, and launched initiatives such as "AI+" to advance digital transformation, helping these enterprises follow the path of specialized, refined, featured, and original development.

"Going global" has become a new track for Guangdong SMEs. This CISMEF deepened international cooperation, drawing exhibitors from over 50 countries and regions. For example, 60% of the sales revenue of X-Human comes from overseas, Fuwei Intelligent has partnered with leading global manufacturers, and Kuku Robot is selling well at home and abroad. Through CISMEF, Guangdong enterprises are actively expanding international cooperation and promoting "Guangdong‑made" brands to the world.

SMEs are the source of vibrancy in Guangdong's economy. Driven by innovation and open market expansion, Guangdong's SMEs are advancing with vigor toward the future, injecting robust momentum into the province's ambition to "build a new Guangdong."

从中博会看“广东制造”新未来

6月30日，第二十届中国国际中小企业博览会在广州收官，交出亮眼"成绩单"：超50个国家（地区）和国际组织、2000多家企业参展，超1万名采购商参会，意向成交金额超千亿元。这场全球中小企业盛会，既彰显中国经济活力，也展现"广东制造"转型升级新貌。

中小企业是广东经济的"基本盘"。数据显示，截至2024年末，广东登记在册经营主体1904.88万户，约占全国1/10；中小企业超774万户，约占全国1/8。民营经济贡献了全省五成以上GDP、六成以上进出口额和税收、七成以上技术创新成果、八成以上新增就业、九成以上经营主体，而中小微企业正是民营经济主力军。

走进中博会展厅，"广东制造"创新活力十足。从智能机器人到自动化无人机，创新产品背后是广东中小企业对技术研发的持续投入。近年来，广东坚持制造业当家，推动科技资源向中小企业开放，实施"人工智能+"等行动，推进数字化改造，助力中小企业走专精特新发展之路。

"出海"成为广东中小企业新赛道。本届中博会深化国际合作，吸引50多个国家（地区）参展。凌度智能六成销售额来自海外，富唯智能牵手全球顶尖制造商，酷库智能机器人畅销国内外……通过中博会，广东企业积极拓展国际合作，推动"广东制造"走向世界。

中小企业是广东经济的活力之源。以创新驱动发展，以开放拓展市场，广东中小企业正以蓬勃姿态迈向未来，为"再造一个新广东"注入强劲动力。
