Good news for China's salmon-lovers: the world's first large-scale offshore salmon farming vessel, Su Hai Yi Hao, has been successfully delivered and is expected to supply the market by next year's Dragon Boat Festival. With an annual capacity of 8,000 tons, about 1.5 million fish, the vessel supports both chilled and frozen processing, making it possible for fresh salmon to reach consumers' tables in as little as 24 hours.

On June 26th, Su Hai Yi Hao was officially delivered at the CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd in Nansha district in Guangzhou, marking China's entry into a new era of deep-sea salmon farming. Functioning as a mobile offshore processing plant, the vessel can travel to the cold waters of the Yellow Sea, offering salmon an ideal environment to "spend the summer."

Unlike traditional fixed deep-water cages, Su Hai Yi Hao is capable of mobile farming. With a powerful self-propulsion system, it can quickly relocate in the face of typhoons, red tides, and other marine hazards, greatly improving farming safety. On board, world-class automated processing lines handle both chilled and frozen products, ensuring freshness. The vessel adopts a year-round farming and staggered market entry strategy to ensure steady supply and reduce price volatility.

Once the vessel enters full operation, the domestic supply of farmed salmon is expected to increase significantly next year, likely driving down prices. The successful delivery of this vessel will also greatly reduce China's reliance on imported chilled salmon.

全球首艘，广州造！“三文鱼自由”有望了

爱吃三文鱼的消费者迎来好消息！全球首艘巨型海上三文鱼养殖工厂“苏海1号”已完成交付，预计明年端午即可供应市场。全船满载年产能达8000吨，约150万尾，且支持冰鲜、速冻加工，最快24小时就能端上百姓餐桌。

6月26日，“苏海1号”在广州南沙中船黄埔文冲船厂正式交付，标志着中国迈入三文鱼深远海养殖新时代。这艘养殖工船如同移动的海上加工厂，可开往黄海冷水团海域，为三文鱼提供舒适的“度夏旅游”环境。

与传统固定式深水网箱不同，“苏海1号”具备游弋式生产能力，面对台风、赤潮等灾害，能凭借强大的自航系统快速转移，极大提升养殖安全性。船上配备的全球领先自动化加工车间，实现冰鲜、冷藏双流水线作业，确保产品新鲜度。通过全年连贯养殖与错峰上市策略，不仅能稳定市场供应，还能有效规避价格波动风险。

随着“苏海1号”投入运营，明年大量国产养殖三文鱼上市后，市场价格有望下降。这艘工船的成功交付，也将显著降低我国对进口冰鲜三文鱼的依赖。
