On June 24th, the YangCheng Evening News Group launched its newly upgraded global communication brand "PEARL".

The global communication of the YangCheng Evening News will focus on three main aspects: Lingnan culture "dual innovation", overseas Chinese culture, and exchanges with Chinese Taiwan. The goal is to accelerate the establishment of a new global communication pattern with a "1+1+2+N" multi-channel, multidimensional, and effective setup. This will include efficient deployment of overseas platforms, collaboration with overseas media for global outreach, aiming to achieve over 10 million total followers across social media accounts within three years, with an annual overseas traffic of over 100 million from original content.

The refreshed "PEARL" draws its inspiration for its logo design from the "Mother River" of Lingnan - the Pearl River, aiming to position "PEARL" as the "pearl" of Lingnan culture.

PEARL is committed to becoming a comprehensive platform that integrates production, translation, distribution, promotion, and think tank research within the "1+1+2+N" framework.

"1" stands for one core platform: The multilingual PEARL international website serves as a repository for resources, IPs, and content sources, targeting 10 million+ annual visits.

Another "1" stands for one top think tank: Jointly established with Jinan University, Sun Yat-sen University, and other institutions to share global communication resources.

"2" stands for two matrices. One is an overseas social media matrix: 20+ overseas accounts with 6.5 million+ followers (target: 10 million+ in three years), producing original content. The other is a global media partnership: This covers AP News, Los Angeles Times, Antara News (Indonesia), Sing Tao Daily, Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group, International Daily News, and Journal Puxin across five continents.

"N" stands for numerous communication brands, including multiple content and event brands in order to propel Lingnan culture globally.

6月24日,羊城晚报报业集团全新升级打造的国际传播品牌PEARL正式上线。

羊城晚报国际传播将重点聚焦岭南文化“双创”、侨文化、对台交流三大垂类方向,加快建设“1+1+2+N”多渠道、立体式、有效力的国际传播新格局,实现境外站点高效布局、海外媒体合作传播矩阵链接全球,力争三年内海外社交平台账号矩阵总粉丝量1000万+,原创内容年均海外流量超1亿+。

焕新登场的PEARL品牌,其Logo设计灵感汲取自岭南“母亲河”——珠江(Pearl River)。同时,也有将PEARL打造为岭南文化“明珠”之意。

PEARL致力于成为集生产、译制、分发、推广及智库研究等功能于一体的“1+1+2+N”综合平台。

“1”个核心平台——PEARL多语种国际网站,发挥“资源库”“IP库”“稿源库”作用,致力于打造成年流量超千万的多语种国际传播网站。

“1”个高端智库。与暨南大学、中山大学等高校共建国际传播智库,共享国际传播资源。

“2”包括1组传播矩阵海外社交平台矩阵旗下近20个海外社交账号持续输出原创内容,总粉丝已经超过650万,争取三年内提升至1000万+;1组海外合作媒体矩阵——海外“朋友圈”涵盖美联社、洛杉矶时报、印尼安塔拉通讯社、星岛日报、香港大公文汇网、国际日报、葡新传媒等,覆盖全球五大洲的广大用户。
