On May 10th, the "Millions of Talents Gather in Guangdong" manufacturing-specific job fair (Guangdong session) was held at South China University of Technology (Wushan Campus). Over 250 leading enterprises, manufacturing industry champions, and specialized and sophisticated SMEs participated in the on-site recruitment. Additionally, many companies conducted online recruitment simultaneously. The event attracted more than 8,800 university graduates, with 6,695 resumes submitted.
It was noted that, in addition to the on-site recruitment, the job fair included special service sections such as a consultation service area and a career empowerment zone. In the career empowerment zone, Liu Yuren, a student majoring in food science and engineering at South China University of Technology, spent more than ten minutes consulting with an expert. He told reporters that he would further refine his resume based on the expert's feedback.
Elsewhere at the venue, a group of students, after submitting their resumes, tried out AI-powered resume optimization and VR interview tools, which analyze the compatibility between resumes and job positions. Man Runtao, a senior student at South China University of Technology, informed reporters that the university provides AI interview simulations as part of its job-seeking support services. He prepared dozens of resumes and attended multiple job fairs, eventually receiving two job offers.
Matching the enthusiasm of the students' job applications, companies also offered a range of high-paying positions. Over 30 companies at this job fair offered annual salaries exceeding 300,000 yuan, with more than 140 positions available and over 710 vacancies to be filled, according to data from the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province.
"Our salaries are quite competitive. For fresh master's graduates, we can offer annual salaries ranging from 200,000 to 300,000 yuan, while for Ph.D. holders, the range is between 500,000 and 700,000 yuan," said Liu Fangqian from the human resources department of Shenzhen Guangqi Advanced Technology Co., Ltd. She also mentioned that the company provides employees with opportunities to pursue doctoral degrees, offering generous scholarships to help them achieve both career development and academic advancement.
The event also featured the "Career Development Consulting Rooms" and "Interviewers' Meeting Rooms," which allowed job seekers to gain in-depth insights into the companies. In addition, representatives of advanced collectives and labor models from China's industrial and information technology sectors were invited to share their "career development stories."
"I graduated from university in 2006 and have worked at Baiyun Power Group Co., Ltd. since starting as an intern in the workshop nearly 20 years ago," said Cheng Yongbin, a national labor model in the industrial and information technology sectors and vice general manager of the company. He advised students and soon-to-graduate bachelor's, master's, and doctoral candidates to focus on what he called the "three recognitions": recognizing industry trends, identifying personal interests, and seriously honing professional skills.

“百万英才汇南粤”制造业专场招聘会来了!
5月10日,“百万英才汇南粤”制造业专场招聘活动(省内专场)在华南理工大学(五山校区)举行。此次专场有250多家链主企业、制造业单项冠军企业、专精特新中小企业参加现场招聘,线上多家企业同步进行招聘,吸引入场大学毕业生8800多人次,收到简历6695份。
记者注意到,此次专场除设置线下招聘之外,还专门开设咨询服务区、职场赋能专区等。在职场赋能专区,华南理工大学食品科学与工程专业的学生刘玉仁跟专家聊了十几分钟,他告诉记者回去就会按照专家意见进一步细化简历。
现场的另一边,一批学生在投完简历后尝试AI简历优化、VR面试,分析简历和岗位的匹配度。华南理工大学大四学生满润涛告诉记者,学校有专门AI面试配合求职培训,自己准备了几十份简历接连参加招聘会,最终拿到了2个录取通知。
与学生的火热投递相对应,企业也拿出了一批高薪岗位。来自省工业和信息化厅的数据显示,此次招聘专场提供30万元以上年薪的企业有30多家,相关岗位超140个,招聘人数达到710多人。
“我们薪资还是比较有竞争力的,应届硕士的年薪可给到20万元至30万元,博士可给到50万元到70万元。”深圳光启尖端技术有限责任公司人力资源部刘芳千告诉记者,公司还会给员工提供机会去读博,其间会提供高额的奖学金,帮员工实现就业和学历提升两不误。
此次专场不仅设置“职业发展诊疗间”“面试官会客室”让求职者深度了解企业,还邀请一批获得全国工业和信息化系统先进集体代表、劳动模范分享职场“成长经”。
“我是2006年大学毕业的,在白云电气从车间实习做起到现在快二十年了。”全国工业和信息化系统劳动模范、白云电气集团有限公司副总经理程咏斌建议,无论是在校学生或是即将毕业的本硕博,要有三个“认”,也就是认清行业大势、认准兴趣爱好、认真打造职业技能。
