The 37th Hundred Flowers Awards ceremony was broadcast in 8K for the first time, a feat made possible by nearly four years of effort by the technical team of the Guangdong UHD Video front-end innovation center ("the innovation center"). The center has developed China's first domestically produced 5G+8K+3D VR ultra-high-definition (UHD) outside broadcasting van, with over 70% of the vehicle's equipment and over 85% of its core components being domestically produced, breaking the monopoly of imported products and even releasing group standards to fill a global void.

In April 2021, the innovation center was established, with over 75% of its members coming from Fortune Global 500 companies. Its mission is to introduce advanced technologies and develop China's UHD broadcasting industry.

The UHD outside broadcasting van from the innovation center, marked with "Made in China (Guangzhou)," features an 80-square-meter broadcast room inside. Previously, UHD outside broadcasting vans in China were largely dependent on imports, with a pressing need for proprietary products and industrialization. This vehicle integrates an independently designed 8K production system, with core key equipment being domestically produced for the first time, meeting a variety of production and broadcasting needs.

Before establishing the innovation center, related manufacturers were working in isolation, lacking integration. After its establishment, the center formed an industrial alliance, integrating over a hundred enterprises, solving issues related to software, protocols, control, and interface compatibility, and achieving technological integration and breakthroughs. Through proposing application requirements to manufacturers, the innovation center connected different enterprises, realizing a breakthrough in UHD broadcasting technology from 0 to 1.

UHD broadcasting technology has a wide range of applications and has been tested in some hospitals. For example, surgeries can be transmitted in real-time through 3D VR cameras, allowing viewers wearing VR glasses to clearly see the details of the surgery. With the mastery of UHD broadcasting capabilities, it is also possible to meet different needs through small-scale broadcasting systems.

After passing the national standard test, the innovation center, in conjunction with multiple parties, released relevant standards at the UHD World Association. China took the lead in proposing the standards for 8K outside broadcasting van, gaining a say in the matter and promoting them to become global industry standards.

广东厂家新技能｜“广东造”又有新突破！8K超高清转播车核心部件国产化率超85%

第37届大众电影百花奖颁奖典礼首次实现大型8K转播，背后是广东省超高清视频前端系统创新中心技术团队近四年的努力。该中心打造的首辆国产5G+8K+3D VR超高清转播车，整车设备国产化率超70%，核心部件超85%，打破进口垄断，还发布团体标准填补世界空白。

2021年4月，广东省超高清视频前端系统创新中心批复成立，成员超75%来自世界500强企业。其使命是引入先进技术，推动我国超高清转播产业发展。

创新中心的超高清转播车车体印有“中国（广州）智造”，车内是80平方米的转播间。此前，国内超高清转播车多依赖进口，急需自主产权产品并实现产业化。这辆转播车集成自主设计的8K制作系统设备，核心关键设备首次全国产化，能满足多种制作转播需求。

创新中心成立前，相关厂商各自为战，缺乏整合。创新中心成立后，组建产业联盟，整合百家企业，解决了软件、协议、控制及卡口适配等问题，实现技术整合与突破。创新中心通过向厂商提出应用需求，串联起不同企业，实现超高清转播技术从0到1的突破。

超高清转播技术应用广泛，已在一些医院实测。比如手术可通过3D VR摄像机实时传输画面，观众戴VR眼镜就能看清手术细节。掌握超高清转播能力后，还能通过小型转播系统满足不同需求。

超高清转播车通过国家标准测试后，创新中心联合多方在世界超高清产业联盟发布相关标准。中国率先提出8K转播车标准，掌握了话语权，正积极推动其成为世界产业标准。
