Thanks to its abundant marine resources, Zhanjiang, a coastal city in Guangdong Province, has made significant strides in the development of modern marine ranching. In recent years, the city has implemented a comprehensive strategy to build a full industrial chain encompassing seed breeding, aquaculture, and processing. This approach has become a driving force behind increased fisheries productivity and improved incomes for local fishermen.

This shift marks a significant breakthrough, moving from traditional breeding techniques to precision breeding. Research institutions and leading enterprises have significantly enhanced the efficiency and quality of seedling selection through integrated cooperation across enterprises, universities, research institutes, and end-users, injecting new momentum into the development of marine ranching. 

In terms of aquaculture management, Zhanjiang is embracing intelligent technology to optimize resource utilization, driving the transformation of the fisheries sector from traditional practices to modern methods. By introducing advanced technologies and equipment from both domestic and international sources, Zhanjiang's modern marine ranches are accelerating their move towards high-end, intelligent development, further enhancing the exploitation and utilization of marine resources.

Furthermore, financial backing plays a crucial role in Zhanjiang's marine ranching development. The Zhanjiang Branch of the People's Insurance Company of China (PICC) has launched a range of financial products, including "Insurance+ Service" and "Insurance + Technology," along with issuing special loans to provide all-around support for ranch construction.

Zhanjiang's modern marine ranching development model has become a benchmark for driving the supply-side structural reform of the fisheries sector. In the future, Zhanjiang will focus on "blue chips" as the core driver, deepening the integration of the fisheries sector with the secondary and tertiary industries, and further prospering the marine economy.
