As the Paris Olympics are in full swing, August 8th will mark China's 16th "National Fitness Day". China's 15th National Games is also approaching, making 2024 a vibrant sports year in Guangzhou.

On August 4th, the "Celebrating the National Games, Dancing in the Greater Bay Area" street dance Guinness World Record challenge was successfully held at the Canton Tower. This event, centered around street dance, connected dancers from across the country, enabling them to cheer and support the upcoming National Games together.

As the highest-level and largest-scale national sports event in China, the National Games carries the responsibility of showcasing the country's sporting prowess and promoting nationwide fitness. It continuously innovates to integrate more youthful elements and contemporary culture. Following breakdancing's debut as an official event at the 2021 National Games, it will return in 2025, injecting a fresh vitality of youth and fashion into the Games.

At the event, over 300 street dancers donned specially crafted uniforms themed after the 15th National Games. They showcased extraordinary dance skills and teamwork by performing intricate formations. The uniform designs integrated iconic architecture, sports, and street dance elements from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, creating a vibrant atmosphere to celebrate the upcoming National Games.

Following that, the event officially kicked off. Under the Canton Tower, 317 street dancers joined forces with over 4,034 participants from more than 50 cities across China. With impeccable dance skills and seamless teamwork, they successfully challenged the Guinness World Record for "the largest street dance performance", marking a new milestone in China's street dance community.

Street dance, as an emerging form of cultural athleticism, possesses unique charm and value. The successful challenge at this event not only showcased China's street dance culture and prowess but also deeply interpreted the National Games' philosophy of "openness" and "sharing" in organizing competitions.

以街舞之名，为十五运会打call！

巴黎奥运会火热进行之际，8月8日将迎来我国第16个“全民健身日”，第十五届全运会的脚步也越来越近，广州已迎来体育大年。

8月4日，“喜迎全运会 舞动大湾区”挑战街舞吉尼斯世界纪录活动在广州塔成功举办。活动以街舞为纽带，连接全国舞者，共同为迎接全运盛会加油助威。

作为国内水平最高、规模最大的综合性运动会，全运会承载着展现国家体育实力、推动全民健身的重任，不断地创新求变，融入更多年轻元素和时尚文化。继2021年霹雳舞首次成为全运会正式比赛项目，2025年，霹雳舞将再次亮相全运会，注入了青春时尚的新活力。

活动现场，300多位街舞精英身着特制的十五运“战衣”，以非凡的舞技和团队协作表演了“十五运广州”“吉尼斯”等花式队形变阵。“战衣”设计也融合了粤港澳标志性建筑、运动、街舞等元素，营造出浓厚的迎全运氛围。

随后，“喜迎全运会 舞动大湾区”挑战街舞吉尼斯世界纪录活动正式拉开序幕。广州塔下，317位街舞精英与来自全国50多个城市的选手共计4034人隔空协作，以精湛的舞技和默契的团队合作成功挑战“世界上最多人同时跳街舞”吉尼斯世界纪录，为中国街舞界书写了新篇章。

街舞作为一种新兴的体育文化形式，具有独特的魅力和价值。此次成功挑战，不仅是中国街舞文化和实力的全面展示，更是对全运会“开放”“共享”办赛理念的深刻诠释。
