Guangzhou has unveiled an impressive 520-kilometer cycling route! This extensive route stretches from the Liuxi River National Forest Park in the north, traverses the Pearl River Basin, and reaches the Nansha Seaside in the south.
Cyclists can easily plan their trip by searching for "广州520山海骑行道 (pinyin: Guangzhou 520 shan hai qi xing dao)" on Gaode map or "山海骑行 (pinyin: shan hai qi xing)" on Baidu map. These routes will interconnect traditional villages, industrial heritage landmarks and industrial hubs, while also embracing a diverse array of ecological wonders, agricultural landscapes, historical treasures, urban scenes and marine vistas.

1. Liuxi Cycling Line
Liuxi River is located in Conghua District, Guangzhou. With its clear mountains and fresh air, it is an ideal cycling destination to relax both body and mind. Cycling along the Liuxi River, you can enjoy scenic spots like the National Version Museum, Hot Spring Scenic Area, Mibu Town, Congdu Wetland Park and Ecological Design Town. You will be captivated by the stunning scenery and the fresh air from the surrounding forest parks.

2. Zengcheng Cycling Line
The Zengcheng route spans 350 kilometers, mainly passing through Lixin Road, Zengpai Road, Zengzheng Road, Lijing Avenue and the banks of the Zengjiang River. This route connects various tourist avenues, including Zengjiang Gallery, Liantang Spring Scenic Area, Hexiangu Scenic Area, Baishui Fairy Waterfall, Huxin Island, Lihu Wetland and Xintang Gualing Village. The rich waterscape and green vegetation have earned this route a place among the "Top 10 Boutique Outdoor Cycling Routes in China" in 2023.

3. New Central Axis Line
This cycling route cleverly traverses the new central axis of Guangzhou. Starting from the scenic Ersha Island, it extends along Yuejiang Road. Along the way, you will witness the architectural cluster and bustling shopping malls of Zhujiang New Town, with iconic landmarks like the Canton Tower gradually coming into view. As you continue, you'll enter the modern technological atmosphere of the Pazhou Artificial Intelligence Zone, where trams occasionally pass by. Additionally, the meticulously crafted flower road along Yuejiang Road will add a vibrant touch to your ride. When you feel tired, you can visit the Pazhou Exhibition Hall to appreciate Guangzhou's long history or take a short rest in the surrounding parks and stations to enjoy a moment of tranquility.

4. Panyu Cycling Line
The eastern suburbs of Panyu gather rich tourism resources, including ancient villages with Lingnan characteristics like Daling Village, the famous cycling destination Seagull Island, and modern leisure agricultural demonstration areas like Hualong and Lotus Island. Cycling here, you'll traverse a picturesque rural landscape interwoven with rivers and bridges, closely connected fish ponds and rice fields, and orchards and farms. On one side, you have the serene and rippling Lion Ocean reflecting the blue sky, and on the other, the tranquil and harmonious rural scenery, allowing you to feel the peace and beauty of nature.

5. Nansha Cycling Line
Starting from the Jiaomen River, passing through the tip of Lingshan Island, and then along the Fuzhou Waterway to Huigu Super Embankment, you will enjoy the sea view and fragrant grass along the way. Continuing south, you'll reach the Nansha Ershiyiyong, following the route through Wanqingsha Town all the way to the Pearl River Estuary. Here, you can gaze at the vast Lingdingyang and fully enjoy the grandeur and tranquility of nature.
