At the exhibition site, there was an endless stream of visitors. Maria, an art lover from the Netherlands, was one of them.

Maria told the journalist of the Yangcheng Evening News that this was her first visit to Guangzhou, and when she found the Guangzhou Museum of Art on the Canton Tower, she couldn't wait to come to the exhibition hall. "Although I'm not an artist, I love painting, which makes me pay particular attention to the colors and techniques in the works." Maria said that many colorful Chinese #paintings remind her of Western oil paintings. And the black and white ink and watercolor painting, which is characteristic of Eastern aesthetics, is her favorite. #artandculture

7月2日起，第十四届全国美术作品展（以下简称“全国美展”）中国画作品展在广州艺术博物院（广州美术馆）新馆正式对公众开放。在展览现场，看展观众络绎不绝，来自荷兰的艺术爱好者玛利亚是其中之一。

玛利亚告诉羊城晚报记者，这是她第一次来到广州，当她在广州塔上发现广州美术馆，就迫不及待来到展厅。“虽然我不是艺术家，但我喜欢画画，这让我尤其关注作品里的色彩和技法。”玛利亚说，不少色彩丰富的中国画作品让她联系起西方油画，而别具东方美学特色的黑白水墨更是她的心头好。
