On the evening of June 26th, China Southern Airlines hosted a launch ceremony at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport for the inaugural direct flight from Guangzhou to Budapest. This marks the opening of the first direct flight route from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to Hungary.

Connecting China's most economically vibrant region with the "Pearl of the Danube" in the heart of Europe, this new route is a significant milestone as China and Hungary celebrate the 75th anniversary of their diplomatic relations. The flight is expected to enhance economic and trade exchanges, tourism cooperation, and cultural ties between the two countries.

Sources indicate that Baiyun International Airport plans to introduce 17 more international routes in the second half of the year.

The inaugural event was attended by representatives from the Guangdong provincial government, the Consulate General of Hungary in Guangzhou, and other dignitaries. Both Guangzhou Baiyun and Budapest Airports prepared special ceremonies to celebrate the occasion.

Hungary, the first European country to sign a Belt and Road Initiative cooperation agreement with China, has increasingly attracted Chinese enterprises under its "Opening to the East" strategy. 

Bilateral trade between China and Hungary reached new heights in 2023, exceeding 13 billion dollars. China returned to its position as Hungary's largest source of foreign investment.

The new Guangzhou-Budapest route offers an exciting opportunity for travelers from Guangzhou to explore Europe. 

Given the rising costs of travel to Western Europe due to the upcoming Paris Olympics, this new route provides a cost-effective alternative for European travel.

On June 27th, the inaugural flight CZ649 carried 29 tourists from Guangzhou. Zhao Wenzhi, Chairman and President of GZL International Travel Service Ltd., highlighted that the new route increases direct flight capacity to Eastern Europe from South China, reduces travel costs, and thereby makes Eastern Europe a preferred summer destination.

Currently, one-way economy class tickets from Guangzhou to Budapest start at just 2,478 yuan, and the round-trip costs merely over 4,000 yuan, making it an affordable gateway to Europe's center.

去往"欧洲心脏"！ 广州直飞布达佩斯开航

6月26日晚，中国南方航空在广州白云国际机场举办广州直飞布达佩斯首航仪式，标志着粤港澳大湾区至匈牙利的首条直飞航线正式开通。

一头连接中国经济最活跃地区的粤港澳大湾区，一头连接位于欧洲心脏地带的"多瑙河明珠"。在中匈建交75周年之际，粤港澳大湾区至匈牙利首条航线的开通将有力促进中匈双方经贸往来、旅游合作和人文交流。

记者获悉，下半年白云机场还有17条国际航线"上新"。

此次首航，南航在广州白云机场和布达佩斯机场准备了精彩的首航仪式。26日晚，广东省政府、匈牙利驻广州总领事馆等各方代表嘉宾参加活动，共同见证并庆祝航线首航。

作为欧洲第一个与中国签署"一带一路"合作谅解备忘录的国家，近年来，秉持"向东开放"战略的匈牙利，吸引了越来越多的中国企业。

与此同时，中匈双边贸易不断迈向新高度。根据匈方统计，2023年，中匈两国双边贸易额超过130亿美元。中国对匈牙利投资创历史新高，再次成为匈牙利最大外资来源国。

广州国际航线+1，对老广来说，也是探索新世界的好机会。

尤其是在法国巴黎奥运会即将举办的背景下，今年西欧旅游费用水涨船高，此时南航推出的广州-布达佩斯的新航线，无疑成为欧洲游的完美"平替"。

6月27日，跟随广州-布达佩斯首航航班CZ649出发的，就有由29名游客组成的广之旅首航团。同机参加首航的广之旅董事长、总裁赵文志向记者特别提到，广州-布达佩斯新航线的开通，令华南地区直飞东欧运力增加，带来旅游成本下降，让东欧成为今年暑期欧洲游的性价比首选。

记者查询发现， 近期广州直飞布达佩斯单程机票经济舱最低只要2478元，4K+就可直飞往返欧洲"心脏"。
