Guangzhou Tianhe District creates a hub for fusion of eastern and western cuisine

As night falls and the city lights up, the nightlife in Guangzhou is just getting started.

From retro markets to jazz performances and Zumba dancing, last weekend's "Back to 90s" retro garden party at the Canton Place showcased the international flair of the area's vibrant street culture.

Located in the southeast core area of Zhujiang New Town in Tianhe District, this hub district combines food, shopping, tourism, culture, and business. It boasts a plethora of both Chinese and international cuisines, featuring a diverse range of flavors and premium dining experiences.

At the Canton Place, "diversity" and "fusion" are the keywords for culinary exploration. There's something to satisfy every palate, such as French, Mexican, Italian, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Thai cuisines.

The hub is known for its concentration of high-end dining establishments. With a high proportion of accredited dining brands, it boasts the highest number of upscale restaurants in the city. Among them are 16 Michelin-rated restaurants, accounting for 22.8% of the city's total, including one two-star Michelin restaurant, representing 33% of the city's total; and six Black Pearl restaurants, comprising 31.6% of the city's total, with two restaurantsreceiving the Two-Diamond honor, making up 50% of the city's total.

Among them is Chao Yue, located at the Canton Place, which has held a Michelin star since 2023 and has been awarded One Diamond by the Black Pearl Restaurant Guide from 2023 to 2024. Specializing in Chaoshan cuisine and modern Cantonese cuisine, the restaurant accommodates only 12 tables per day.


One of the restaurant's signature dishes, Chao Yue Cold Fish Rice, ingeniously blends the cultural essence of Chaoshan with marine elements, elevating traditional Chaoshan cold fish rice to an artistic delight. The dish features tender fish meat paired with unique seasonings such as squid ink and Puning bean sauce, along with crispy fish skin, resulting in a savory and multi-layered culinary experience with every bite.

In addition, Sha Cha Beef is also a classic dish of Chaoshan cuisine. Chao Yue uses Australian Wagyu beef as the main ingredient, and cooks it with the distinctive local Sha Cha sauce by utilizing modern cooking techniques to create a unique dish called Frozen Sha Cha Beef Rolls. When served, these specially crafted rolls cascade down like white truffles, not only emitting an enticing aroma but also providing a unique experience of alternating hot and cold sensations, with rich and flavorful taste, making it unforgettable.

广州天河打造中西特色美食集聚区

夜幕降临,华灯初上。广州的夜生活,才刚刚开始。

复古市集、爵士乐演出、尊巴热舞……上个周末,在广粤天地精彩上演的“Back to 90s”复古花园派对,将国际化街区的“国际范”展现得淋漓尽致。

据悉,天河区珠江新城东南核心区域是集美食、购物、旅游、文化、商务等多功能于一体的综合性街(区)。该区域汇聚了众多中外特色美食,品类涵盖世界各地风味和不同等级品牌连锁餐饮,具备“高端、国际、多元”的特色。

在广粤天地,“多元”“融合”是寻味美食的关键词。法国菜、墨西哥菜、意大利菜、日本料理、越南菜、泰国菜等各国美食,能够满足不同人群的口味需求。

高端餐饮业态集聚也是天河区珠江新城东南核心区域的一大特色。该区域权威认证餐饮品牌占比高,高端消费餐厅数量位居全市第一。拥有米其林系餐厅16家,占全市的22.8%,其中米其林二星餐厅1家,占全市的33%;黑珍珠钻级餐厅6家,占全市的31.6%,其中黑珍珠二钻餐厅2家,占全市的50%。

坐落于广粤天地的潮跃餐厅是2023年度米其林餐厅,也是2023-2024年度蝉联黑珍珠一钻餐厅。该餐厅专注潮汕菜与现代粤菜,每天仅接待12桌客人。

该餐厅招牌菜式潮跃鱼饭的设计巧妙融合了潮汕地区的文化精髓与海洋元素,将传统潮汕鱼饭提升至艺术享受的高度。潮跃鱼饭选用肉质鲜嫩的鱼肉,搭配墨鱼汁与普宁豆酱的独特调味,以及金黄酥脆的炸鱼皮,使得每一口都充满了咸鲜与多层次的味觉享受。

另外,沙茶牛肉也是潮汕美食的经典代表。潮跃精选澳大利亚和牛作为主要食材,将充满地方特色的沙茶酱与现代烹饪手法相结合,独创出一种冰冻的沙茶牛油卷。上菜时,这种特制的沙茶牛油卷像白松露一片片落下,这样的呈现方式,不仅令菜品散发出诱人的香气,更在口感上营造出冷热交替、鲜美香浓的独特体验,令人难忘。
