Spring in the Greater Bay Area brings lush greenery and vibrant flowers, alongside the rapid growth of its four major cooperation platforms.

On the morning of March 5th, the Second Session of the 14th National People's Congress opened in Beijing. Premier Li Qiang, on behalf of the State Council, delivered the government work report. The report pointed out the support for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and other economically advantageous regions to play a better role as a source of high-quality development. The report also mentioned supporting Hong Kong and Macao in developing their economies, improving people's livelihoods, utilizing their advantages and characteristics, actively participating in the construction of the Greater Bay Area, better integrating into the national development, and maintaining the long-term prosperity and stability of Hong Kong and Macao.

Since March 2017, the keyword "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area" has been included in the government work report for eight consecutive years.

This year marks the fifth anniversary of the official release of the "Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area." Over the past five years, the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone, Demonstration Zone of all-round Cooperation among Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, and Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone, have successively been established. Today, the Greater Bay Area is accelerating towards a new positioning as a "strategic fulcrum for the new development pattern, a demonstration area for high-quality development, and a leading area for modernization in the Chinese style."

3月5日上午，十四届全国人大二次会议在北京开幕，国务院总理李强代表国务院作政府工作报告。报告中指出，支持京津冀、长三角、粤港澳大湾区等经济发展优势地区更好发挥高质量发展动力源作用。报告还提到，支持香港、澳门发展经济、改善民生，发挥自身优势和特点，积极参与粤港澳大湾区建设，更好地融入国家发展大局，保持香港、澳门长期繁荣稳定。

自2017年3月以来，“粤港澳大湾区”这一关键词已连续八年写入政府工作报告。

今年是《粤港澳大湾区发展规划纲要》正式发布五周年。5年来，横琴粤澳深度合作区、前海深港现代服务业合作区、南沙粤港澳全面合作示范区、河套深港科技创新合作区四大平台相继落地。如今，粤港澳大湾区这片热土，正朝着“新发展格局的战略支点、高质量发展的示范地、中国式现代化的引领地”的全新定位加速前进。
