As the 2024 Two Sessions open, National People's Congress (NPC) deputies and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference(CPPCC) members from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), along with their counterparts from other areas, have gathered in Beijing this week. The Greater Bay Area stands as a crucial hub for global manufacturing, boasting a solid industrial foundation and a comprehensive system. Guangdong Province leads in the production of various items such as 5G smartphones, air conditioners, refrigerators, rice cookers, and microwave ovens, ranking top worldwide in output.It has developed eight major industrial clusters worth one trillion yuan each,including new-generation electronic information, green petrochemicals, intelligent home appliances, advanced materials, modern light industry and textiles, software and information services, modern agriculture, foodstuffs, and autos.Now, the province is advancing towards the goal of creating world-class industrial clusters.

In December 2023, the1-million-kilowatt offshore wind farm in Huizhou Port, built bytheChina General Nuclear Power Group (CGN), was fully connected to the grid, with an annual power generation capacity of approximately 3 billion kilowatt-hours.This milestone marks the completion of the first million-kilowatt-level off shore wind power project in theGBA.

In terms of corporate presence, the Huizhou Daya Bay Petrochemical Zone has attracted 13 Fortune Global 500 companies, includingthe CNOOC, Shellplc, ExxonMobil, and BASF, to settle in theGBA.

Furthermore, with the establishment of automotive manufacturing hubs centered around Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Foshan, the entire supply chain for new energy vehicles is experiencing rapid growth in the GBA. Currently, Guangzhou is acknowledged as one of the nation's top three automobile production bases, accommodating several homegrown brands in the new energy vehicle sector such as GAC Aion, Xpeng Motors, and Dongfeng-Nissan Venucia.

GBA is makingconcerted efforts to establish itself as a semiconductor industry powerhouse. Companies like TCL and Huawei have continuously showcased remarkable performances. Across various domains such as mobile embedded SoC,printer controller SoC,financial IC cards, automotive semiconductors, memory chips, aerospace electronic chips, and high-performance analog ICs, Zhuhai hosts several leading enterprises that rank at the forefront nationwide.

In the field of modern light industry and textiles, Guangzhou boasts a comprehensive industry chain, while Shenzhen aligns with global cutting-edge design trends. Dongguan, known as the "City of Apparel"in China, is advancing towards a fashion-forward, high-end, branded, digitalized, low-carbon, and international clothing industrial cluster.

Li Dongsheng, NPC deputy and TCL chairman: Enhancing the competitiveness of the high-definition display industry

Li Dongsheng, a deputy to the National People's Congress (NPC) and the founder and chairman of TCL, highlights the necessity of enhancing the competitiveness of the high-definition display industry to achieve high-quality development. He emphasizes that industrial transformation and upgrading are crucial for realizing this objective. "In recent years, the concept of new quality productivityhas gained significant traction. Feng Xingya, a deputy to the National People's Congress (NPC) and the general manager of Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC Group), emphasizes high-quality development of the automotive industry. During the two sessions, Feng focuses on addressing key challenges in the automotive sector, particularly emphasizing the transformation, intelligence, and internationalization of new energy vehicles (NEVs).

Feng highlights that, over years of efforts, the Greater Bay Area has evolved into a core hub for China's automotive electrification and intelligent industrial chain. 8个万亿元级产业集群龙腾湾区

随着2024年全国两会拉开帷幕，当来自粤港澳大湾区的全国人大代表、全国政协委员和其他地区的代表委员们齐聚一堂时，将聊到哪些湾区话题？如何做好湾区推介官，传递更多湾区声音与故事？

粤港澳大湾区是世界制造业重要基地，产业基础扎实，体系完备。广东的5G手机、空调、冰箱、电饭锅、微波炉等产量全球第一，现已形成新一代电子信息、绿色石化、智能家电、先进材料、现代轻工纺织、软件与信息服务、现代农业与食品、汽车等8个万亿元级产业集群，正朝着世界级产业集群目标快步迈进。

2023年12月，中国广核集团惠州港口100万千瓦海上风电场全容量并网，年发电量约30亿千瓦时，标志着粤港澳大湾区首个百万千瓦级海上风电项目全面建成投产。

因在惠州大亚湾石化区，中海油、壳牌、埃克森美孚、巴斯夫等13家世界500强企业齐聚于此。

与此同时，当以广州、深圳、佛山三地为核心的整车制造集聚区形成，新能源汽车全产业链也在大湾区迅速崛起。目前，广州已是全国三大汽车生产基地之一，拥有广汽埃安、小鹏汽车、东风日产启辰等多个新能源汽车自主品牌。

在大湾区全力打造半导体产业高地的过程中，TCL、华为等企业表现一直亮眼。在移动嵌入式SoC芯片、打印机主控SoC芯片、金融IC、车用半导体、存储器、航天电子芯片、高性能模拟IC等多个领域，珠海拥有多家在国内排名前列的领军企业。

在现代轻工纺织产业方面，广州拥有完善的纺织服装产业链，深圳拥有和世界接轨的前沿设计风尚，东莞虎门“中国服装服饰名城”向着时尚化、高端化、品牌化、数智化、低碳化、国际化的服装产业集群迈进……

全国人大代表，TCL创始人、董事长李东生：提升高清显示产业竞争力

在李东生看来，高质量发展首先要实现产业的转型升级。“今年，新质生产力成为一大热词，事实上，新质生产力的发展核心就是高质量发展。”

粤港澳大湾区立足于前沿地带，在很多高科技制造产业领域都取得了很大突破。李东生以和TCL有关的产业为例谈道，半导体显示产业的快速发展也支撑了中国电视机和其他显示终端产业的发展。

为更好助推产业发展，今年全国两会，李东生带来了关于推动中国高清显示产业高质量发展的建议。他希望进一步提升高清显示产业竞争力，为实现中国经济高质量发展发挥积极作用。

全国人大代表、广汽集团总经理冯兴亚：多举措护航新能源汽车出海

今年全国两会，冯兴亚持续聚焦汽车行业新能源转型、智能化、国际化发展等痛点，关注汽车产业高质量发展。

在冯兴亚看来，经过多年积累，粤港澳大湾区已经逐渐发展成我国汽车电动化智能化产业链核心集聚区。当前，中国汽车品牌核心竞争力不断提升，并积极走向海外市场，新能源汽车更是其中佼佼者。基于此，冯兴亚提出在国家层面促进产业国际合作、统筹出口共性课题、优化出口监管机制、加强资讯及运力建设等建议，呼吁多举措护航新能源汽车出海。
