On the eve of the Lantern Festival, February 23rd, a showcase of intangible cultural heritage to celebrate the Lantern Festival was held at the square of Huizhou Olympic Stadium in Huicheng District. This performance was an important part of the main venue event of the national Dragon Dance Parade, where dragons from all over the country gathered in Huizhou, Guangdong province, to dance together.
Dragondanceteams from various places, such as Zhejiang, Chongqing, and Hunan, took turnsto wowthe audience with their appearances. There were also wonderful performances of national intangible cultural heritage representative projects, such as Puning Yingge Dance and Huidong Fishing Songs, offering a cultural feast exclusively for the Year of the Dragon to the citizens and tourists.
As the performance began, the dragon dance team from Tongliang County, Chongqing, the "Hometown of Chinese Dragon Dance," amazed the audience with its sparkling and magnificent firedragon, which showcased the vivid charm of the Chinese dragon and received thunderous applause from the audience.
The Miao ethnic group's custom ofdancingthe dragon amid fire sparks from Taijiang County, Guizhou Province, is a traditional ritual for the Miao people to pray for good luck in the new year during the Lantern Festival. The dancers, bare-chested and wearing only safety helmets and shorts, held the dragon with both hands and danced amidst sparkling fireworks.
During the Chinese New Year of the Year of the Dragon, Lingnan folk customs, represented by the Puning Yingge Dance, continued to attract the attention of the world. This "Chinese War Dance" has made its appearance in London, bringing Chinese New Year blessings from Lingnan to overseas Chinese and foreign friends. During the performance, the Fumei Youth Yingge Dance team from Puning, which had gone viral on the Internet, impressed the audience with their graceful and powerful steps, igniting the entire venue with their exuberant vigor.
On the very day of the Lantern Festival, which falls on February 24th this year, parade teams from all over the country will be divided into five formations. They include 18 teams of national intangible cultural heritage representative projects from 12 provinces (regions, cities), two Dragon and Lion Dance teams from Hong Kong and Macao, and a special team formed by 31 local intangible cultural heritage projects from Guangdong Province. They will participate in a grand parade covering a total distance of 3.6 kilometers. More than 1,200 people, including 71 representative inheritors of intangible cultural heritage, will participate. The dragons from across the country will dance together amidst the beautiful sceneries, historical landscapes, and cultural scenes along the way in Huizhou City.

龙舞英歌齐聚惠州闹元宵
2月23日晚,元宵节前夕,一场“多彩非遗闹元宵”展演在惠州市惠城区中心体育广场举行。本次展演的龙舞大巡游全国主会场活动的重要组成部分。来自全国各地的“龙”齐聚广东惠州,同台共舞。
浙江长兴百叶龙、重庆铜梁龙舞、湖南板板龙灯等各省舞龙队伍轮番亮相,惊艳全场。还有广东的普宁英歌、惠东渔歌等国家级非遗代表性项目带来精彩表演,为市民游客带来一场龙年限定文化大餐!
表演一开场,来自“中国龙舞之乡”重庆铜梁的龙舞就以火花四溅、绚烂夺目的焰火龙让全场观众不禁拍手叫绝,瞬时惊艳全场,充分展现出中国龙的灵动神韵。
来自贵州省台江县的苗族舞龙嘘花习俗是贵州苗族人民在元宵节祈福新年好运的传统习俗。舞者赤裸上身,仅戴安全帽、着短裤,双手执龙,舞动于火树银花中。
龙年新春,以普宁英歌舞为代表的岭南民俗非遗持续出圈,“中华战舞”亮相英国伦敦,给海外华侨及外国友人送上来自岭南的新春祝福。在展演上,来自普宁的网红英歌队——富美青年英歌队以潇洒自如的步伐、酣畅淋漓的气势,带给观众力与美的震撼,燃炸全场。
在2月24日元宵节当天,这些来自五湖四海的巡游队伍将分为五大方阵,12个省(区、市)共18个龙舞类国家级非遗代表性项目,香港、澳门2支龙舞狮舞队伍,以及广东省内31个非遗项目组成的特色队伍,将参加全程总计3.6公里的大巡游。共有71位非遗代表性传承人在内的1200余人参加。全国各地的龙舞,与惠州城沿途的风光山水及历史人文景观交相辉映。
