In the streets of Huaqiangbei, Futian District, Shenzhen, there are eight public pianos available for free, connecting strangers in the city with the black and white keys. Here, Yi Qunlin, a construction worker, becomes the center of attention with his impromptu piano performance.

Recently, he received an invitation from the CCTV Spring Festival Gala. He was so excited at that moment that his hands trembled. Talking about his hobbies and dreams, he said, "I love playing the piano! I hope everyone can pursue their dreams!"

In April 2023, a video of Yi Qunlin, wearing a helmet and working clothes, playing the piano on the streets of Huaqiangbei went viral on the internet. It is learned that Yi Qunlin, who came from Yueyang, Hunan Province to Shenzhen over twenty years ago, has witnessed tremendous changes in the city. Now, he does odd jobs in construction with his son, Yi Wenli, who took that viral video of him playing the piano at the beginning and posted it online.

"That day, we passed by the subway entrance and saw someone playing the piano. They told us that it was a public piano for anyone to play. So, I encouraged my father to give it a try." said Yi Wenli. Therefore, Yi Qunlin, approached the piano with an attitude of having fun.

Yi Qunlin has a great passion for music. He learned to play the piano at a relative's house when he was young. In his free time, he also plays the harmonica. Even though several decades have passed, he still remembers those music scores he has learned. And he had never expected that, having not touched a piano for over 30 years, he would have an opportunity to play the piano again on the streets of Shenzhen.

That day, encouraged by the passers-by, Yi Qunlin played more than ten pieces in a row. "I felt good when people applauded, and gradually I wasn't so nervous anymore. It gave me a feeling of being recognized, and I was so happy on the way back."

At that time, Yi Qunlin had no idea that his acquaintance with the public piano would bring more unexpected encounters.

The melodies flowing from the piano have not only unearthed his music dream hidden in the dust for 30 years, but have also inspired numerous netizens with his persistent pursuit of dreams. Additionally, it created new surprises for his own life.

Now, he brings his music from Shenzhen to Beijing. On January 19, 2024, Yi Qunlin, who received the invitation to attend the Spring Festival Gala, came to perform in the CCTV Hall, attracting a crowd of spectators. "Given a chance, I hope Mr. Lang Lang could give me some guidance."

After the video was released, netizens offered to help Yi ask Lang Lang for a favor. Unexpectedly, Lang Lang responded on Weibo, a Chinese social-media site similar to Twitter, saying, "Brother Yi, I saw your video and was touched by your passion for life. Thank you for your support! Looking forward to meeting you soon!"

During his visit to Beijing this time, Yi Qunlin also travelled to Tian'anmen Square. "Amazingly, I was still working at the construction site yesterday, and today I'm on such a big stage. I'm really happy!"

在深圳街头弹钢琴的建筑工人，收到春晚邀请函了

在深圳福田华强北街头，8台公益钢琴免费开放，黑白琴键连接着城市里素不相识的人们。也是在这里，即兴弹奏钢琴的建筑工人易群林成为了人群中的焦点。

近日，他收到了“春晚等着你”邀请函。拿到邀请函的那一刻，他激动得有些手抖。谈及爱好和梦想，他说：“我是一个喜欢弹钢琴的建筑工人！希望大家都能坚持自己的梦想！”

2023年4月，易群林头戴安全帽，身穿工装在华强北街头即兴弹奏钢琴的视频走红网络。据了解，来自湖南岳阳的易群林，20多年前来到深圳，见证了这座城市的巨变。现在他与儿子易文理一起做建筑零工，当初就是儿子拍摄了他在弹琴的视频，随手发到了网上。

“那天我们路过地铁口的时候，看到有人在那里弹钢琴，问了一下说是公益钢琴，谁都可以弹，然后我就鼓励父亲上去弹一下。”易文理表示，就这样，会弹钢琴的父亲抱着玩一下的心态，上前弹了几首曲子。

易群林说自己非常热爱音乐，平时没事会吹吹口琴，而弹钢琴是年少时在县城的亲戚家里学的。虽然几十年过去了，但那些曲谱还依然记得。已经30多年没有摸过钢琴的他，没想到有一天能在深圳的街头再次弹上钢琴。

那天，易群林在周围人的鼓励下，一连弹了十多首曲子。“人家一鼓掌，我的心情就好了，慢慢就没那么紧张了，有种被大家认同的感觉。回来的路上都好快乐，好开心。”

彼时的易群林大概没料到，与公益钢琴的结缘会持续产生意想不到的际遇。

指尖弹出来的琴音，不仅点燃起自己尘封30多年的音乐梦，这份对梦想的念念不忘给众多网友带去力量的同时，也为他本人的生活创造了新的惊喜。

如今他将这份琴声从深圳带到了北京。2024年1月19日，收到“春晚等着你”邀请函的易群林，来到了总台央视大厅演奏，引得众人驻足围观。他腼腆地笑着说：“有机会的话，我想郎朗老师能不能指导指导我。”

视频发布后，网友们在线帮大叔喊话郎朗。让人没想到的是，郎朗对此发微博表示：“易大哥，看到了您的视频，为您热爱生活的精神点赞。感谢您的喜欢！也很期待见到您！”

此次来到北京，易群林还特意去了一趟天安门。“我昨天还在工地干活，今天就来到了这里这么大的舞台，真的挺开心的！”
