CIIE brings more foreign fruits to Chinese tables

From November 5th to 10th, the 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE) took place in Shanghai, with a plethora of high-quality overseas fruits making their debut in the Chinese market.

In recent years, China has actively approved and facilitated the import of premium agricultural and food products, resulting in an increasing variety of "foreign fruits" on the tables of its citizens. The CIIE has notably become a crucial "storefront" for high-quality fruits worldwide to enter the Chinese market, with products like Panamanian pineapples, Dominican avocados, and Mexican bananas becoming household favorites through this platform.

Products from various countries vied for attention on the CIIE stage, including Afghanistan's Kandahar pomegranates and Ecuador's horned melons to Spain's ham, Canada's ice wine, the Philippines' Puyat durians, and Afghan pine nuts. The food and agricultural products exhibition area of this year's CIIE, boasting the largest number of exhibitors and the broadest source of products, attracted thousands of companies from over 100 countries and regions.

At this year's CIIE, Joy Wing Mau unveiled its global debut product, the Joyvio Peruvian Desert Blueberry. Joy Wing Mau has expanded its fruit business to nearly 40 countries and regions globally, bringing fruits from BRI countries, such as Peru's blueberries, Chile's cherries, New Zealand's kiwis, and Thailand's durians, to the Chinese market.

Participating in the CIIE since its first edition, Dole has now premiered nine fruit varieties at the expo. A representative from Dole's Chinese market department stated that the CIIE has become a crucial avenue for their products to enter the Chinese market.

Zespri, a brand specializing in New Zealand kiwifruit, has exhibited at the CIIE for six consecutive years. China has now become its largest global consumer market. In this year's expo, Zespri opened a carbon-neutral booth, incorporating a significant amount of environmentally friendly and recyclable materials. Bruce Cameron, Chairman of Zespri, expressed his confidence and inspiration in the tremendous vitality and consumer potential continuously emanating from the Chinese market.

进博会让更多“洋”水果走进中国餐桌

11月5日至10日,第六届中国国际进口博览会在上海举办,诸多海外优质水果在此首发首展。

近年来,我国积极推动优质农食产品的准入和进口,百姓餐桌上的“洋”水果越来越多。其中,进博展台已经成为世界各地优质水果进入中国市场的重要“橱窗”:巴拿马菠萝、多米尼加鳄梨、墨西哥香蕉等都曾由此走进中国千家万户。   

阿富汗坎大哈石榴、厄瓜多尔麒麟果、西班牙火腿、加拿大冰酒、菲律宾普雅榴莲、阿富汗松子……各国产品竞相在进博舞台上亮相。作为参展企业最多、来源最广的展区,本届进博会食品及农产品展区吸引了来自100多个国家和地区的上千家企业。

本届进博会上,鑫荣懋集团携全球首发新品——佳沃秘鲁沙漠蓝莓亮相。据介绍,目前,鑫荣懋已经在全球近40个国家和地区开展水果业务,持续将秘鲁蓝莓、智利车厘子、新西兰奇异果、泰国榴莲等共建“一带一路”国家的特色水果带到中国市场。

从第一届进博会开始就参与其中的企业都乐,至今已有9款水果在进博会上实现首发。都乐中国市场部相关负责人表示,进博会已成为企业产品进入中国市场的重要途径。

主营新西兰奇异果的佳沛已经连续6年参展进博会,如今,中国已是其全球最大消费市场。本届进博会上,佳沛打造了碳中和展台,大量使用了环保可回收材料。新西兰佳沛国际集团董事局主席布鲁斯·卡梅隆表示:“中国市场持续不断释放出的巨大活力和消费潜力,令我不断增强信心且感到鼓舞。”
