On November 8th, the 2023 GBA Global Investment Conference took place in Guangzhou, attracting numerous Fortune 500 companies and renowned industry leaders from around the world. These influential entities demonstrated their trust in the Greater Bay Area by committing substantial investments.

The conference showcased 26 significant projects that were selected for on-site signing. Preliminary statistics reveal a total of 859 investment and trade projects concluded during the event, with a combined value exceeding 2.24 trillion yuan.

During the investment policy promotion at the conference, nine cities in the Pearl River Delta unveiled new measures to actively attract global investors.

Hong Kong, with its unique advantage of being "backed by the motherland and connected to the world", emphasized leveraging the free flow of people, goods, capital, and information to facilitate both inward and outward investment. Bernard Chan, Under Secretary of the Hong Kong Commence and Economic Development Bureau, expressed confidence in the boundless potential of the Greater Bay Area.

Vincent U, the head of the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, highlighted the collaborative model between Macao and Hengqin, which combines the Macao platform and Hengqin space with international resources to achieve shared success.

Furthermore, Guangdong has introduced 17 policies to attract foreign investment in the manufacturing industry. In the first three quarters of this year, Guangdong had already completed 640 signed projects, with a total investment of 427 billion yuan, focusing on manufacturing and headquarters relocation.

The vibrant innovation, vast consumer market, and open business environment of the Greater Bay Area have brought increased investments from foreign enterprises.

Liu Xiao, Vice President of Corporate Affairs for UK-based group Tate&Lyle China, affirmed that their top choice is to invest in Guangdong. Last year, Tate&Lyle made a full acquisition of the local Jiangmen company Quantum Hi-Tech for $237 million, contributing 340 million yuan in tax revenue to Guangdong's economy. Liu further expressed their commitment to developing in Guangdong and radiating across the entire Greater Bay Area and even the world.

Amway China, rooted in Guangzhou for 30 years, also showed its support for the Greater Bay Area. This year, Amway China announced an increase in capital and expansion of its production base located in the Guangzhou Development District. Yu Fang, President of Amway (China), said that the Guangzhou production base not only serves the Chinese market but also caters to 50 global markets, making it a crucial hub in Amway's global supply chain.

Simultaneously, as the sixth China International Import Expo took place in Shanghai, the 2023 GBA Global Investment Conference extended its influence beyond the region by synergizing with the expo to enhance spillover effects.

Also, Guangdong has organized a series of economic and trade exchange activities in Shanghai, leveraging the platform of the import expo. Representatives from foreign chambers of commerce, such as AmCham China, the German Industry and Commerce, and the Japan-China Investment Promotion Organization, along with delegates from 120 multinational corporations, attended the conference.

Michael Hart, President of AmCham China, said that over the past three years, the Greater Bay Area has consistently been regarded as an "excellent investment destination" by member companies of the chamber.

With a resounding commitment to openness, Guangdong is increasingly open with increasing investors and entrepreneurs from home and abroad to invest and prosper here, which will contribute to mutual success within the Greater Bay Area.

2023粤港澳大湾区全球招商大会签约超2.24万亿元

11月8日，2023粤港澳大湾区全球招商大会在广州举行，来自全球的众多世界500强企业、知名龙头企业应约而至，相继用真金白银为大湾区投下“信任票”。

本次大会共遴选了26个重大项目进行现场签约。据初步统计，大会共达成投资贸易项目859个，总金额超2.24万亿元。

在此次大会的投资政策推介会上，珠三角9市各出新招，积极招揽全球投资者。

“大湾区潜力无限，香港拥有‘背靠祖国、联通世界’的独特优势。”香港商务及经济发展局副局长陈百里表示，香港将利用好人流、物流、资金流、信息流自由流通的优势，做好“引进来、走出去”的工作。

澳门贸易投资促进局主席余雨生谈到：“通过澳门和横琴联动合作新模式，能够体现出‘澳门平台+国际资源+横琴空间’，达到成果共享的效果。”

广东出台了制造业吸引外资17条政策。今年前三季度广东已完成签约项目640个，投资总额4270亿元，并侧重于制造业招商及总部招商。

澎湃的创新活力、庞大的消费市场、开放的营商环境，吸引外资企业加码投资大湾区。

英国泰莱集团亚太区企业事务副总裁刘晓表示，投资广东是泰莱集团的不二选择。去年，泰莱集团以2.37亿美元全资收购江门本土企业量子高科，该收购直接为广东经济贡献税收人民币3.4亿元。刘晓表示，未来，其将通过在粤发展，辐射整个大湾区乃至全球。

在广州扎根30年的安利中国，同样为大湾区投下了“支持票”。今年，位于广州开发区的安利中国生产基地宣布增资扩产。安利（中国）总裁余放表示，安利在广州的生产基地，除了服务中国市场，还服务了全球50个市场，已经成为安利全球供应链的一个枢纽。

在上海，正值第六届中国国际进口博览会举办之际。本届粤港澳大湾区全球招商大会走出粤港澳，与进博会联动强化溢出效应。

据悉，广东依托进博会平台，在上海组织系列经贸交流活动。来自中国美国商会、德国工商大会、日中投资促进机构等外国商协会的代表以及120家企业的跨国公司代表悉数到场。

中国美国商会总裁何迈可表示，过去三年，粤港澳大湾区常被商会的会员企业视为中国的“绝佳投资目的地”。

开放强音，经久回响。广东的开放之门越开越大，海内外投资者、企业家纷至沓来，在南粤大地投资兴业，在大湾区实现共赢。
