Outside the window, the wind rippled the lush green fields, creating waves of swaying rice; indoors, the rustling sound of flipping pages flows like beautiful melodies. In the "Reading Bar" of Heduli Rice Field Lodges in Meizhou, the combining fragrance of rice and books brings a delightful sensation to the readers.

Located in Zhangbei Village, Dapu County, the Heduli Rice Field Lodges is a pastoral complex integrating lodges, farming and cultural tourism transformed from a school with an architectural style of Southeast Asia. The "Reading Bar" inside the lodges was put into use in March 2021, and has been enlisted as one of the "Most Beautiful New Public Cultural Spaces in Guangdong Province for 2022".

"With a view of mountains and rivers, homesickness lingers." The Zhangbei Village possesses a profound historical and cultural heritage, with the well-preserved Hakka culture and a rich atmosphere of humanism in every corner. To enable the villagers who have left their hometown to relive their childhood memories and provide a reading space for visitors, a "Reading Bar" was established in the Tourist Service Center.

To add more unique features to the reading bar, the Dapu Library has equipped the space with well-arranged bookshelves, elegant screens and exquisite tables and chairs, based on the functional orientation and operational concept of Heduli Rice Field Lodges. They have also elaborately selected 1000 volumes of local literature with a focus on Dapu's regional characteristics, including history, culture, and folk customs, for people to read.

The cozy environment, intelligent services, and diverse activities provided by the "Reading Bar" have enhanced the tourists' cultural experiences and empowered the tourism industry.

Ms. Zhong visited the Ketianxia Scenic Area with her children during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays. After watching the performances at the Hakka Town Lodges, they took a tour bus to the "Clouds and Books Reading Bar". "It looks like the Temple of Heaven from the outside, where we can have a panoramic view of the entire Meizhou city. And as we sat inside the bar sipping coffee and reading books, there was a sense of tranquility as if we were 'admiring the flowers blooming and falling in the courtyard, and marveling at the clouds floating and dispersing in the sky.'"

The "Clouds and Books Reading Bar" mentioned by Ms. Zhong is a special cultural tourism project co-organized by the Meijiang Library and the Ketianxia Scenic Area. Located in the Kedianxia Scenic Area, it is also an atmospheric café with more than 1,500 volumes of books covering literature, art, philosophy economics, and other classes. It is an exclusive leisure space created for residents and tourists.

In recent years, Meizhou has been actively promoting the co-construction of Reading Bars, establishing key brands of provincial public new spaces such as Fengshun Urban Reading Room and Meizhou Smart Reading Room, while constructing nearly 20 distinctive cultural new spaces including the Guangmeiyuan Branch of Meizhou Library, the Reading Bar in the Yannanfei Tea Fields Scenic Area, and the Reading Bar in the Xingning Tourism Distribution Center.

窗外，风吹过碧绿的稻田，掀起一道稻浪；室内，书页翻开时的沙沙响声，流淌成美妙的音符。在梅州大埔禾肚里稻田民宿的“粤书吧”，田野稻香和幽幽书香的双重体验，让阅读的人们感受更加愉悦。

禾肚里民宿位于大埔县西河镇漳北村，前身是村里南洋建筑风格的“漳北公学”，后经改造成为集“民宿+农耕+文旅”于一体的田园综合体。禾肚里稻田民宿“粤书吧”于2021年3月正式投入使用，日前入选“2022年广东省最美新型公共文化空间”。

“看得见山、望得见水、记得住乡愁。”漳北村历史文化底蕴深厚，客家文化遗留保存完善，处处展现浓浓的人文气息。为了让从这里走出去的乡亲能重温儿时的记忆，同时让前来游玩的客人有阅读的空间，游客服务中心内设立了“粤书吧”。

据悉，为了体现“一吧一特色”的特点，大埔县图书馆在建设之初根据禾肚里稻田民宿的功能定位和运营理念，配备了错落有致的书架、古朴典雅的屏风和阅览桌椅，并精心挑选了1000册具有大埔地域特色的历史、文化和民俗的地方文献供阅览。

“粤书吧”提供的舒适环境、智能服务、多元活动，给文化加码，更为旅游赋能。

中秋国庆假期，钟女士带着女儿和儿子来到客天下景区游玩，看完客家小镇的民宿表演，坐着电瓶车就来到了“客天下云卷云书粤书吧”。“外形很像天坛，外面可以远眺整个梅州城区，里面品着咖啡、读读书，有‘看庭前花开花落、望天上云卷云舒’的惬意。”

钟女士所说的“客天下云卷云书粤书吧”是梅州市梅江区图书馆与梅州客天下合作共建文旅融合特色项目。该书吧位于客天下旅游产业园内，是梅州最有氛围体验感的咖啡厅，内有文学、艺术、哲学、经济等各类图书1500多册，是为市民游客打造的专属休闲空间。

近年来，梅州积极推动粤书吧项目共建，打造了丰顺城市书房、梅州智慧书房等省级公共文化新空间重点品牌，建设了梅州市图书馆广梅园分馆、雁南飞茶田景区粤书吧、兴宁市旅游集散中心粤书吧等近20个各具特色的省级公共文化新空间。
