As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, universities across Guangdong province have been busy planning and organizing a variety of exciting events, bringing a colorful cultural feast to both students and faculty. On the night of the full moon, they came together to appreciate the charm and depth of Chinese traditional culture.

In the lead-up to the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Psychology and Peer Assistance Development Association of Sun Yat-sen University organized a series of fun activities, including mooncake making, crafting lanterns from bamboo, scent exploration, riddle guessing, and moon-watching. Many of these activities have ancient origins, and when combined with the youthful energy of campus life, they spark a fresh and vibrant celebration of tradition.

The Student Union of the College of Journalism and Communication at Jinan University held their "JiYue Festival," allowing students from all corners of the country to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the traditional festival. The event featured performances, handicraft workshops, and fun games. The hands-on crafts included DIY hand fans and lanterns, giving participants a chance to experience the charm of traditional craftsmanship. There were also fun game booths such as "Blindfolded Mooncake Tasting," adding a warm and homely touch to the festive spirit.

On the evening of September 27th, the Student Union of the School of Materials Science and Engineering at South China University of Technology organized a small event called "Moonlight Stroll" in the university's residential area. The event featured three booths: the main booth was the Mid-Autumn Grassland Music Festival, the second booth hosted origami challenges with prizes for completing designated tasks, and the third booth encouraged students to get creative with group photos for a chance to win prizes. Prizes included candies, mooncakes, and exclusive school merchandise.

Guangdong University of Foreign Studies hosted a "Celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival and Welcoming National Day" park festival. The event included traditional cultural experiences, exhibitions on Lingnan culture, fun games, and song and dance performances. Activities on-site featured lantern riddle exhibitions, performances celebrating the National Day, fan painting, colorful lantern decoration, poem writing, and Hanfu event. Notably, the riddles at this festival were based on traditional culture and knowledge from the "Four Histories (the histories of the Party, New China, the reform and opening-up, socialist development)" with the addition of Cantonese idioms and translations, allowing students from diverse backgrounds to enjoy the pleasures of Cantonese culture. Additionally, nine interactive mini-games were set up to create an immersive experience of Chinese traditional culture. The park festival brimmed with a festive atmosphere, enabling both students and faculty to deeply appreciate the charm of Lingnan culture and the profound heritage of Chinese traditional culture.

To celebrate the dual festivals of Mid-Autumn and National Day, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou)  planned a Mid-Autumn and National Day Park Festival. In the handicraft area, students could make traditional mooncakes and paint fans, immersing themselves in the festive atmosphere. Students could not only craft "HKUST(GZ)" exclusive snow-skin mooncakes， but also unleash their imagination to create unique fans, making unforgettable memories for the holiday. Lantern crafting allowed students to write blessings on their lanterns, which were then hung on the lantern-like archway in the riddle area, where an exciting riddle guessing game was held.

猜灯谜、做月饼、游园会……广东大学生花式过中秋

在中秋佳节来临之际，广东多所高校纷纷策划、开展多样的中秋活动，为师生带来一场多彩的文化盛宴，在月圆之夜共同领略中华优秀传统文化的魅力和内涵。

中秋节前夕，中山大学心理与朋辈互助发展协会策划并推出一系列有趣的中秋活动，包括做月饼、树中秋（用竹条扎灯）、气味探索、猜灯谜、赏月等。许多活动都是自古有之，古老的节日习俗遇见青春朝气的校园，碰撞出新的火花。

暨南大学新闻与传播学院团委、学生会举办“暨月节”活动，让来自五湖四海的师生一同感受传统节日的氛围。活动包括节目表演、手工制作和趣味游戏。其中手工制作包括DIY团扇、灯笼等，亲手制作传统手工艺品，亲身感受传统文化的魅力。现场还设有趣味游戏摊位，如“蒙眼吃月饼”等，让师生在欢乐的游戏中感受家的氛围。

9月27日晚，华南理工大学材料科学与工程学院学生会在大学城生活区操场开展“皓月同游”小活动，活动一共分为三个摊位，主摊位为中秋草地音乐节舞台；第二个摊位会进行折纸挑战，完成指定的折纸任务后即赢得奖品；第三个摊位则会进行趣味合影活动，让同学们发挥自己的创造力和身边的朋友合影并赢取奖品。奖品包括糖果、月饼、华工限定周边文创等。

广东外语外贸大学举办了“贺中秋·迎国庆”游园活动，现场设置传统文化体验、岭南文化主题展览、趣味游戏活动及歌舞表演。现场活动包括游园灯谜荟、青春献强国演出、妙手画扇、五彩添灯、七步之才、投壶会友、汉服文化体验等。值得一提的是，本次灯谜谜面以传统文化、“四史”知识为主，并加入粤语歇后语、粤语翻译等谜面作为彩蛋，让来自五湖四海的同学能够体验粤语文化的乐趣。此外还设置了9个趣味小游戏，打造沉浸式中华传统文化体验场景。游园活动充满了浓厚的节日氛围，让师生共同领略岭南文化的魅力，体会中华传统文化的深厚底蕴。

为共庆双节，香港科技大学（广州）今年精心策划了一场中秋国庆游园会。在手工区，可以进行手工月饼制作和画扇面活动，体验传统文化，感受中秋氛围，同学们既可以亲手制作“HKUST(GZ)”专属冰皮月饼，还可以发挥想象力打造独一无二的扇子，为节日留下难忘的回忆。手工灯笼制作，可在手工灯笼上写下祝福，制作好后悬挂于“灯笼拱门”（灯谜区），之后在灯谜区开展猜灯谜活动。
