On the eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Chen Clan Academy, known as the "Pearl of Lingnan Architectural Art", ushered in a historic moment. On the evening of September 27th, the "Illuminate Ancient Clan – Chen Clan Academy Light Show" kicked off, marking the new era of this ancient building. Under the colorful light, this century-old building also came alive at night.

Two rays of light flew from the eaves of the Chen Clan Academy, chasing each other, and finally collided with a huge whirlpool in the center of the front of the building. Then, the whirlpool shined, where two mighty door gods appeared, and the luminous gate of the Chen Clan Academy slowly opened.

At the launching ceremony of the Chen Clan Academy Light Show, the carefully designed light decorated the ancient building like a dream, making the exquisite stone carvings, brick carvings, ceramic sculptures, lime sculptures and other decorations more vivid under the reflection of light, attracting many citizens and tourists to watch. The entire light show lasts 15 minutes.

According to reports, the Chen Clan Academy Light Show is divided into "daily energy-saving mode" and "festival mode". Among them, the "daily energy-saving mode" depicts the form and details of this cultural heritage building with simple projections, while the "festival mode" uses the combination of virtual light and real scene to display the culture and art of decoration and creates different effects through technologies such as sound and light. In addition, the project restored the original forecourt pond of the Chen Clan Academy in history.

The Chen Clan Academy, a China Cultural Heritage, is a cultural signature of Guangzhou and is deeply loved by domestic and foreign tourists. The Chen Clan Academy was completed in 1893, and has a history of 130 years. It is the largest, best-preserved and most decorated ancestral clan in Guangdong, and was selected as the third batch of " China Cultural Heritage" by the State Council of the People's Republic of China in 1988.

Wood carving, brick carving, stone carving, ceramic sculptures, lime sculptures, door god paintings, and copper and iron casting are the artistic masterpieces of this building, and the historical stories, legends, auspicious patterns, poems and antithetical couplets revealed by the decoration tell the splendid culture and long history of the Chinese nation.

The relevant person in charge of the Guangdong Folk Art Museum introduced that the Chen Clan Academy Light Show uses light technology to present the exquisite decoration, profound history and unique culture of the Chen Clan Academy in an immersive experience.

The light show not only brings the cultural relics to life but also makes it more attractive to citizens and tourists to appreciate the historical and artistic value of the Chen Clan Academy at night.

“陈家祠光影秀”启动，百年古建筑在夜间也“活”了

中秋前夕，被誉为“岭南建筑艺术明珠”的陈家祠堂迎来了历史性时刻。9月27日晚上，“古祠留芳——陈家祠光影秀”启动，标志着陈家祠正式进入了全新的光影时代。光影下，这座百年古建筑在夜间也“活”了起来。

从陈家祠建筑屋檐上飞来两道光影，光影不断追逐、游动，最终在建筑正面中心碰撞出一个巨大的漩涡。两位威武的门神从漩涡中出现，身后的旋涡中透射出道道光芒，流光勾勒的祠堂大门徐徐开启……

当晚举行的陈家祠光影秀启动仪式上，精心设计的光影将陈家祠堂装点得如梦如幻，精美石雕、砖雕、陶塑、灰塑等装饰在光影的映照下更加生动立体，吸引了众多市民和游客前来观赏。整个光影秀持续15分钟。

据介绍，陈家祠光影秀项目分为“日常节能模式”和“节日模式”。其中，“日常节能模式”以朴素的投光描绘文物建筑物的形态和细节；“节日模式”则利用光影、虚实结合展示建筑装饰的文化艺术形象，通过声光电等科技手段，打造不同效果。此外，该项目还复原了陈家祠历史上原有的前院水塘。

全国重点文物保护单位陈家祠是广州的文化名片，深受国内外游客的喜爱。陈家祠堂落成于清光绪十九年（1893年），距今已有130年历史。它是广东现存规模最大、保存最完好、装饰最华丽的祠堂式建筑，于1988年被中华人民共和国国务院公布为第三批“全国重点文物保护单位”。

陈家祠集岭南传统建筑装饰之大成，木雕、砖雕、石雕、陶塑、灰塑、门神彩绘、铜铁铸是这座建筑的艺术精髓，建筑装饰中的历史故事、神话传说、吉祥图案、诗词楹联等，诉说着中华民族灿烂的文化与悠久历史。

广东民间工艺博物馆（陈家祠）相关负责人介绍，此次陈家祠光影秀以光影技术为载体，通过数字化手段，将陈家祠的精美装饰、深厚历史和独特文化以沉浸式体验的方式呈现出来。

光影秀不仅让文物“活”起来，为这座历史悠久的建筑瑰宝注入新的生命力，同时也将为陈家祠带来新的吸引力，让市民和游客在夜晚也能欣赏到陈家祠堂的历史和艺术价值。
