2023 Guangzhou International Shopping Festival kicks off

On the evening of September 26th, the 2023 Guangzhou International Shopping Festival kicked off at Grandview Mall in Tianhe District. The shopping festival will last until December 31st, and various districts in Guangzhou are carrying out various activities to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and welcome the National Day.

For example, Beijing Road in Yuexiu District launched more than 20 special activities with four interactive scenes and five themes, including a giant rabbit statue colored with an earth map motif and Hanfu (the historical clothing of the Han people) Parade + " Fairy of Flower Street in Flower City" Short Video Contest. Yongqing Fang in Liwan District launched Guangzhou's first "Shanhai" Mid-Autumn Festival Lantern Festival, attracting many citizens and tourists.

Departure tax refund stores in Tianhe welcome new member

The reporter learned that this year's shopping festival focuses on concepts such as intelligent business, smart business circle, and departure tax refund, aiming to bring a new experience to consumers.

In the evening, the new departure tax refund store held an opening ceremony with the"one-stop buy and refund" license, further enhancing Guangzhou's global attractiveness as an international consumption center city.

It is reported that since the implementation of the shopping departure tax refund scheme for overseas tourists in Guangdong in 2016, there are currently 82 departure tax refund shops in Guangzhou, and more than 100 overseas tourists enjoy the policy every month, driving international consumption of nearly 40 million yuan since the beginning of this year.

Smart business circles promote new consumer experiences

Since Tianhe Road Business Circle was selected as the first batch of national demonstration smart business circles in 2022, digital upgrading has enabled Tianhe Road Business Circle to promote the transformation and innovation of traditional business formats and drive consumption with technology.

Strolling in the Tianhe Road Business Circle, smart light poles, smart shopping guide robots, virtual fitting mirrors, smart live streaming and other smart terminals, digital smart consumption scenes can be seen everywhere. The Smart Experience Center of Tianhe Road Business Circle on the 4th floor of Grandview Mall showcased 11 innovative smart consumption scenarios, including Guangzhou's first digital human customer service "Tianxiaohe", customer satisfaction monitoring system, mobile retail service robot, etc., to better meet the diversified needs of consumers.

More culture & tourism experiences to be explored

More diverse consumption scenarios, more fun social spaces, and more interesting culture & tourism experiences are on the way in Guangzhou!

For example, with the theme of "Instant Music", Grandview Mall brings together young people's favorite elements, such as music, coffee and food, to create a music-themed life festival in Guangzhou's autumn; Taikoo Hui hosts the Hello AI Interactive and New Media Art Exhibition full of imagination and creativity; Guangzhou K11 Art Mall held KHUB Taste Collection and KHUB Beer Festival to create a unique consumption experience combining vitality and art; Guangzhou Friendship stores will hold the sixth"Friendship International Fashion Festival" and carry out large-scale reward activities to help create a "Famous Fashion Festival" in Guangzhou.

持续“嗨”到年底!2023广州国际购物节启动

9月26日晚,2023广州国际购物节在天河正佳广场正式启动。此次购物节将持续至12月31日,广州各区正开展形式多样的富有庆中秋、迎国庆的活动。

例如,越秀区北京路推出“地球兔”等你来打卡、汉服巡游+“花城花街花仙子”北京路短视频大赛活动等4大互动场景、5大主题20多场特色活动;荔湾区永庆坊推出广州首个山海中秋花灯会,国风元素吸引众多市民、游客打卡。

天河离境退税商店又添新成员

记者了解到,本届购物节围绕商业智能化、智慧商圈、离境退税等关键词,旨在为消费者带来全新体验。

当晚,天河路商圈新增境外旅客购物离境退税商店及离境退税“即买即退”商店授牌仪式举行,进一步增强广州作为国际消费中心城市的全球吸引力。

据悉,自2016年广东实施境外旅客购物离境退税政策,目前广州市共有离境退税商店82家,月均享受离境退税政策的境外旅客超100人次,今年以来拉动国际消费近4000万元。

智慧商圈助力消费新体验

自从2022年天河路商圈入选首批全国示范智慧商圈,数字升级在赋能天河路商圈打造智慧消费场景的同时,持续推进传统业态更迭创新,带动市场升温。

在天河路商圈漫步,智慧灯杆、智能导购机器人、虚拟试衣镜、智慧直播间等智能终端、数字化智慧消费场景随处可见。正佳广场4楼的天河路商圈智慧体验中心里,展示了11项创新智慧消费场景,包括广州首个数字人客服“天小河”、顾客满意度监测系统、移动零售服务机器人等,更好满足消费者多样化需求。

更多文旅体验待“解锁”

更多样的消费场景、更好玩的社交空间、更有趣的文旅体验已在路上。
